Did someone say no?

You sure it's not because of the implication?

Why are you watching while signed in?

What?

I'm really not convinced that it would change anything any more than the other options... Both sides of the conflict seem to have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo, and while this does push things to change slightly, there really isn't any more or less change that could happen.

What a nice thing to say!

Already did that... Now I'm in again.

Very true. If we weren't, this wouldn't be any fun! Honestly, I think they would've had a much higher opinion of Starfleet if he did that, and the interaction would've been far more memorable to the society. I also think that's why he didn't do it, because it would've impacted them more than doing what he actually did. Think about it... Positively or negatively influencing are both possible, and what he did comes about as close to neither positive or negatively influencing them as possible. He made Starfleet look like they wanted nothing to do with the situation, and made it obvious to both sides that Starfleet would not help them. He forced them to do things on their own, and prevented them from ever seeing Starfleet as someone they could "exploit" to further their societies.

That's some mighty fowl language you're using...

Yes, but the bird is the word.

That would be awesome, but considering the current state of copyright, it's 70 years past the demise of the company before they could do that. (since companies can claim the copyrights instead of needing a specific person to tie the copyright to) And since copyright holders make up about 90% of all wealth in the USA, and effectively all lobbying, it's not going to change for the better any time soon.

Indeed.

A couple reasons... 1. Less expensive for both the motherboard, and the CPU. 2. Better multithreading performance than all but the top-end Intel offerings. 3. Better single-core performance than all but the top-end Intel offerings. 4. PCIe 4.0 capability. 5. Runs at a lower temperature. 6. All AMD processors are unlocked by default, so you can overclock them. 7. Includes a very decent stock CPU cooler. 8. Uses a socket design that will allow me to upgrade for a long time. 9. They actually change their processors between generations, so you aren't buying the same processor 4 times in a row. 10. The 3rd Gen Ryzen processors have incredibly good memory controllers, so you get the best performance out of less expensive (yet still high quality) RAM. Those just slightly tip the balance towards AMD right now.

Well, I finally got around to getting everything on my system overclocked to the limit... Ryzen 5 3600: 4.2GHz all-core at 1.35v (this is nowhere near its limit, this is a safe overclock) G.Skill Ripjaws V RAM: super tight timings at 3600cl16 5700 XT: Reference cooler, but overclocked to "on-par" with top-end custom watercooled models https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/26754278

I see you're one of those CLI purists... A GUI is designed to BE those scripts and one-liners, so you don't have to type them. It's so you can click a button to run that script instead of having to type the script name to run it. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of the entire purpose of the GUI, its functionality, and its capabilities.

What was it updating to? A chinchilla with a screen?
-
I never found out what, if any, name it had... All I had was an unlabeled floppy, and it didn't have a splash screen or unique file names that would indicate the game name.

I had something like that for my Apple ][c way back when...

Surprisingly fun for a pseudo-tower-defence game.
