  1. You underestimate the weight of the boot bag...

    No, you did.

Steel plate armor with 6" foam-rubber underneath will protect a monitor pretty well.

I want to see this in action

So do I, but I haven't got a monitor available to test it with. (using a laptop)

  2. lol, I knew what you were referencing, but I don't actually eat over the keyboard. in fact, most of the time my food is far off to the side and I move away to drink/take a bite. Not gonna have a repeat of the root beer incident ever again.

Same, except I never spilled on the keyboard to cause me to be more careful... My reason is that I get most of my spare keyboards from the garbage when other people spill stuff on them, and I clean them. I don't ever want to have to clean them a second time.

Did you know that most keyboards can work even while submerged?

  3. I swear, if I wasn't reading BTG's posts, I'd never have the desire to listen to much. :/

Glad to be of assistance.

I'm on to Ego Brain and Thetawaves... Their their 'released for torrent' album... (title: "Steal This Album")

  4. And yay, broken computer screen. I should never have put the damn thing in the trunk. well, at least it's minor enough that I can still see all my pixels.

ALWAYS PAD COMPUTER SCREENS DURING TRANSPORT!!!

This message brought to you by: "I made this mistake so you don't have to."

It's in a padded computer case. What I didn't count on is the duffle bag of boots being placed on top of it after looking away.

Then you didn't pad it well enough did you...

  5. It was discounted, you could have paid 25 dollars and got every Quake and Doom game ever made 2 days ago.

I already own every Quake and Doom game on Steam EXCEPT for Quake 4.

Then you could've gifted the rest to me!

  6. Why is it always you who puts forward absurd numbers like that? First days worth of gameplay time of a single DS2 run and now this. You wouldn't happen to have Asperger's would you? Because that would explain a lot. Well, or I am just far too gullible.

Anyways, the weirdest run I did was Blaster-only on Nightmare. Took a while to finish it.

I do long lasting runs for my first run through because I look at everything, and study the layout for faster runs after the first. That's just how I roll.

And yes, I'm seriously past my 50th run through Q2 this year. First run through it (in 97/98, I can't remember when I got it for sure) took a couple weeks. (not sure about in-game time, wasn't concerned about that at the time)
