  1. *OS: windows vista

    *2Gb RAM

    Your system is unstable.

Downgrade to XP is my recommendation until you get 4GB RAM. Once you do, get Windows 7, never use Vista.

If you're running Vista just for DX10, just get the DX10RC for XP... It isn't perfect, but it lets you do a lot of DX10 stuff on XP.

  2. Since I've been playing some DOOM 3 lately, I reiterate what I posted somewhere else: I HATE the damned flashlight/weapon switch system. I just HATE it.

Why is the concept of having a small flashlight integrated to every weapon so ludicrous? Why are you making me shoot wildly into the dark, wasting ammo and time?

    Three words: Duct tape mod.

At least until you get good at the game, then try to do it without the mod, on Nightmare...

    Rusty's info:

video card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series

to thatsmartguy: it says it passes but just past minimum and a little under recommended.

EDIT: i ran it on my desktop for shits and giggles, it failed. lol it could barely even perform the test.

You're probly going to have trouble running any serious games at above minimum quality... You're going to need more RAM and either overclock your video card by a lot, or upgrade that too.

    Processor should be ok.

I disagree, I believe the determining factors are (~40%) Processor, (~40%) Graphics Card and (~9 %) Ram Memory. (~1 % rest)

You really need to learn more about game requirements. Processor requirements rarely truly affect the gaming experience unless you have a truly badass video card and lots of fast RAM. The GFX card is the bottleneck 99.9% of the time.

  4. Half Life: Source. It was so weird, yesterday I was just chatting on Steam when HL:S just appeared on my games list ready to download. I've checked my email and no one gifted it to me so how did I get it?

Free promotion I'd guess... Check and see if you have a time limit on it.

  5. That's a myth, actually. Sure, it takes a lot of energy to make solar panels, but, according to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, assuming a 12% efficiency, the payback period is 3.5 years. The lifespan of the typical solar panel is 20-30 years. Therefore, for the first 3.5 years of usage, you're "paying back" the energy needed for the solar panel but after that, you have a net positive energy yield.

Except the efficiency level of the best panels is only around 6%, more common panels only have an efficiency of 3.5%. (this is common knowledge in Arizona, lots of solar farms there)

If you're looking for immediate net positive energy yield from a solar panel, you're doing it wrong.

    Of course.

Also, there's no such thing as "clean coal". It's an oxymoron.
