The edit time restriction has been lifted! Now you should be able to edit your posts, no matter their publishing date. Along with that, we've added a feature to see the edit history of a post (doesn't apply retroactively). If there's something you don't want people to see in the edit history, you can contact us and we'll sort it out.
THANK YOU!!!

pirating something like an old Atari game I feel wouldn't really be considered by anyone as pirating. Its like a person pirating a beta-max or laserdisc.
Since the old Atari has been split and bought by either Hasbro or Warner Bros, there is a very real threat of legal intervention over those old games. (more so from Hasbro)
The fact is, there aren't really any services out there that will give you free copyrighted stuff with no effort on the part of the user, especially if the companies that originally held the copyright still exist. All it takes is a small filing fee on the part of the ex-copyright holder (yes, even if the software is legally abandonware, which is no longer able to be copywritten) to bankrupt the majority of the people that would want to do it in the first place. (this has been done quite a lot for various things in the past 20 years)

Don't see why it wouldn't be... It's not like it's illegal...

Hey everyone. So, if you haven't heard, the game's done now. Out of beta and everything. I've only made it partway through the first Xen chapter, out of who knows how much more game there is afterward, and holy shit you guys. Those super-amazing screenshots really were just a teaser. They saved all the best stuff for the game itself.
That is all.
I honestly wish I could just move to that early Xen area, and build a house to live there... After the explodys and cthulhu dogs with colds are cleared out of course.

Ok, for those of you that have seen episode 8:
Did they just do an episode of Civil Protection as the entire opening sequence? I coulda sworn that was Mike and Dave bullshitting on those speeder bikes...

but it is weird. right?
What's weirder is that radiation levels immediately surrounding a nuclear power plant are generally lower than the surrounding area.

The Game List now has an RSS feed! This practically took no effort to add, the only reason this took so long is that I got side-tracked with other things and forgot. Anyway, it's a thing for anyone who wants it. I would also like to point out that you can make feeds of your own using the activity stream feature. For example, here's a feed of all comments for the list. The functionality is a bit hidden, but could be of use to some of you.

lol damn i should've listened to more rob zombie, i only know one song from nfs underground
That's actually the track that got me "into" Rob Zombie in the first place... I had heard several other songs from him, but never knew who it was, and it was before Google was quite so simple to use, so I had to wait for NFSU to find out. (very recognizable voice he has)

Nope.

It appears to have minimal if any effect on the framerate to have raytracing enabled on an RX 5700XT with a Ryzen 5 3600.
Make sure you set it to medium on the Global Illumination setting, not high. High does not have raytracing enabled yet. It does look quite nice. It's a minimal effect setting when you first look at it, but when you're actually doing things, it just sort of pulls you into the game a little better. I hope more games implement this "0 impact" raytracing.
-
Seems today's patch is adding in vendor independent minimal-impact DX11 ray tracing the the game. (no need for an RTX card to benefit)
We'll see if that performance impact is really as little as they advertise.
Oh, they also added HDR and physical sparks, as if that matters when there's ray tracing.
