i think the modders did the right thing. i personally know a couple that already payed for a copyright for their mod's sound effects and gunshots. in fact, in the mod's files there's a huge notepad message, that explicitly announces that if anyone used those sound effects anywhere without the mod team's permission, they would sue.

The sounds are not the mods themselves unless the mod only does sound replacement with their own custom sounds. Otherwise the mod still belongs to Bethesda only.

That's really weird... Only 7.09 GB for me.

Try going to the install folder, and manually change the settings in the high.cfg file to match the settings in the low.cfg file. (make sure to backup any file you change first though)

[EDIT] Have you tried changing the settings from the launcher rather than in-game?

It'd be pretty cool though if he used the Cinematic Mod, taking out all the crap weapons and character models and the soundtrack but leaving it with MUCH better graphics.

I had troubles getting things to run when I first started using Vista/7, but now the only thing that refuses to work right is Doom 3... Problem is I have to know what programs he's using to be able to tell if any of my tricks will work on them.
