  1. Show me an Intel CPU that outperforms a comparable AMD one in the $80 - 120 range.

    Beats an Athlon II X4 610e. $40 less.

    Then there's also this one: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-2100+%40+3.10GHz

    Beating a Phenom II X4 B95 for half the price, plus you can overclock the Intel by as much as 50% on stock cooling.

    Intel owns the entire market right now.

  2. That PSU is overkill BTG... Unless you plan to buy another GTX 570 down the road. I'd add a fast SSD to install windows on. Case is really sick! When it first came out it was like $700...

    Nice system!

    Yeah, that's the only decent LGA1155 motherboard with at least dual full x16 PCIE ports, (most only do one 16x that splits to a dual 8x) planned for SLI in the future. PSU is the same price as most good 800w PSUs too.

    Thanks. :ugeek::mrgreen:

  3. Kinda a change in direction here but is it just me or did Bulletstorm fizzle out rather anticlimactically? Just about everyone I knew was all talking about how much they wanted to play it after E3 and how they're gonna be there at midnight to get it. Wednesday after release, I haven't heard shit since. What gives? was it really that bad? It got so much media hype...

    It was extremely linear. Fun for a once-through, but no replay value.

  4. Ok, to start the first hardware debate thread... (debates are allowed in the forum description)

    What is your opinion on AMD, Nvidia, and Intel? (video cards, and CPUs)

    Before the dual core Intels, I would have easily gone for AMD processors. Now with the new LGA1155 processors, Intel outperforms while being far less expensive.

    ATI had great cards back in the day, but shortly after the GeForce 6200, Nvidia took (and still has) the lead on GFX quality. I wouldn't buy a Radeon if I could help it.

    For comparison, each GeForce CUDA core is equivalent to 4 stream processors in the GTX 4XX series, and 4-8 stream processors in the GTX 5XX series.

  5. Wrong, You couldn't see a mirror 5 light seconds away.

    Did you know that a miror the size of Jupiter, with a magnifying focus on that exact distance, while being place at that distance, is easily visible, and could easily show an image of you blinking 10 seconds after you actually blink?

  6. Well, I just surpassed Ross Scott in Post counts, makes me # 9, don't know what to think of that... :)
