Because it was a game made primarily for consoles, the PC version was a crappy port.

And? Doesn't mean that with a few console commands, patches, and HD updates that the game can't be fun on the PC.

SNES - Best console ever IMO.

NES - A true classic.

Atari - The originator of all consoles.

Channel F - Sears' version of the Atari, the console I spent the most time playing as a child.

N64 - First actively 3d console with lots of good games.

Sega (the original) - Sonic the Hedgehog. Nuff said.

Nintendo Virtual Boy - Great concept. Starfox on it was awesome.

Gameboy Advance - Portable version of the SNES.

Now that I think of it, X-Zone is a game that I hear nobody discussing. Maybe because it was made for the Super Scope. I used to play the shit out of it, mostly because of the soundtrack was so good.

 

Here's a little taster:

I used to have a DOS version ripoff of that game... Mouse control was harder than the super scope control.

Maybe it has problems with such uncommon resolutions.
