So here's a counterpoint to this ruling. I don't know if this is an actual issue to be worried about or if this is just fearmongering.
This is in fact a very real issue... As much as this may be "good" for the consumer in the now, it could very well kill any possibility of actually owning any games ever again in the long term. (since subscription services and free to play will not be affected by this)

Getting tired.

Just played through 10 levels of Dead Space... So far only one jumpscare that startled me, and even then it was mild, and mostly brought on by my hitting of the mouse sensitivity button and not being able to turn properly at the same time. (thought my PC was about to crash) I've predicted about 95% of the enemy spawn points so far.

You sure it wasn't down because some EA lackey hired a hacker to take down someone going after their business model?

It was still a massive overreaction.

I randomly found Ross's Game Dungeon last week and I really enjoy it! I have a suggestion for a great DOS game called The Terminator (1991) made by Bethesda. It was the first FPS, first open world game, first sandbox game, and one of the first games to have a 3D world based on a real worl layout/location (LA). Grand Theft Auto also copied a lot from the game including stealing cars, driving over pedestrians, robbing banks, and rocket launchers! I loved it growing up and it still is pretty decent these days... for 1991.
I can 100% get behind that...

Minecraft.
Tried a few Windows 10 settings changes meant to make it more stable and have slightly better performance... It worked. "Disable fullscreen optimizations" works well to increase stability by a LOT.

Trying to relax after basically doing felony speeding for the last 2 hours...

Xcom 2 War of the Chosen.
Max settings at 4K downscaled to 1080p (Virtual Super Resolution on an RX 5700 XT) and MLAA on top comes out to a really nice and smooth image, with no artifacting whatsoever.

Same, but that's not really an option for what I plan to use my PC for...

I'm better at physical art myself, and unfortunately don't have any pictures anymore. (cataclysmic concurrent drive and device failures suck)
Those are quite good though!

I'd rather pirate it myself.

It really is fun, until you've unlocked the best stuff... Then it's boring. It's sad they didn't add in a game mode similar to C&C3KW for world conquest...

Yup.

Trying not to throw up because I ate way too much...

Marveling that I somehow had an exact copy of my last post in this thread saved as a draft...

What about tentacle holding the kid?
What about it? That's his mother, and I have no issue with a tentacle-armed mother.

Deus Ex Human Revolution
On my overclocked 5700 XT it has yet to drop below 130 FPS at maximum settings at 1080p. Much nicer than when I played it previously, where it topped out around 40 FPS at minimum settings and 900p.

Yes you will, you'll just never notice...

So real time ray tracing doesn't really have anything to do with the new Turing architecture? I've noticed that my 1080 has a perfectly fine time doing path-traced shaders in Minecraft with the new SUES PTGI shaders.
A 38 minute video of it in action here...

Well it's been over 3 years for me since I was last in this thread... And I just fell nothing... Why can't I just feel something?
