Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools
BTGBullseye replied to BTGBullseye's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
Just thinking here... If it's NOT taught as fact in school, but only as a Theory, how does that hurt anyone? Religion is already taught as a belief system, not as fact. (as BOTH should be) If Evolution is true, then it will prove itself regardless of how it's taught in school... Right? Or do you believe it has to be taught as fact for it to be fact? -
Atheism: Philosophically Redundant?

Just a thought... If God exists, and you don't believe, something bad WILL happen after you die. If God doesn't exist, and you do believe, nothing will happen after you die. -
What a boring boar... SkyNet research... I was doing a sculpture.

I don't use IM programs. I use IRC if I want real-time text-based chatting.

+rep I removed as much HP crap from my parent's laptop as I could find at the time, and it still pops up an optimization dialog in the middle of playing movies on it.

21. You keep a crowbar under your desk at work, so you can beat the snot out of people when they think you died... -
Yup, unless it's one of those weird encoders that forces a complete recode every time you do anything, including a "tack on the end" edit.

Just a clarification... Is this specifically about Osama-event related feelings, or the whole philosophical area of finding pleasure from killing? -

Never said I did here... You just said that you keep getting told that. I responded that they're just returning the favor. -

One day God gazed upon the people of Earth who were starting to play Civilization while eating popcorn. He gleefully said "DELETE THIS THREAD!" and then suddenly they did died.Their ghosts yelled all night long and that noise brought forth the Klingon Empire."DAMMIT GODZILLA'S FINGERING US"

That would probly be painful... They'd put something useless in the way at the most inopportune times.

Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools
BTGBullseye replied to BTGBullseye's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
The teacher had nothing to do with it, that is the only curriculum allowed in public schools here in the USA. -

Religion usually does, you just don't accept their evidence. -

QUIT CALLING IT MY ANYTHING, THIS IS WHAT THEY TEACH AT 99% OF THE SCHOOLS IN THE USA! This is the problem I've been having to repeatedly deal with throughout this thread... It's what is being taught in schools, not about personal beliefs.
