Tomorrow I'll get a fiber optic cable connection from my kick-ass isp. Which means 100mbps dl and 20mbps upload. Can anyone top that?
Not yet... My area tops out at 20Mbps down and 4Mbps up...

But how would it know that it's because of a human that power is being turned off? There are quite a few possibilities for what can cause power outages on a large scale.

I meant that they added graphics to the game that shows while you play it.
Well, it's similar, but not the same game. (different stuff to do anything)

Part of this complete childhood.
That was part of my science class when I was homeschooled.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Dexter... It is a pretty original series and the plot is interesting as sh**.
I don't get HBO.
My list:
Star Trek TNG
The Simpsons
Star Trek TOS
Firefly
Stargate Universe
Star Trek VOY
Stargate SG-1
Star Trek DS9
Stargate Atlantis
Castle
Farscape
Who's Line Is It Anyways?
Twilight Zone
Any Loony Tunes
Scooby Doo (the originals, not the shitty remakes)
There are more, but I think you get the idea. (Star Trek ENT will never make the list)

The star wars category should be split into two. Episode 1,2,3 and 4,5,6.. anyone that checks 1,2,3 should be immediately banned from the forums pending castration and hanging. Worst movies ever.
Not getting into a debate, but 3 was a perfectly fine movie. It just generally gets lumped in with 1 and 2 as being bad.
[EDIT] *facepalm* Thought it said Star Trek...
Yes, I'll edit the poll, since I agree completely.

This is very weird. I made a comment here a couple of days ago, and now is gone... Anyone wanting to take credit for that?
I take credit. I erased it with my super mind powers...

i also had this other one in which i dreamed that one of my county's ex-presidents died of a heart attack, and 1 month after he died.
If it was 1 month before he died I would probably assume you're psychic.
Try a year and a half prediction... I had a dream when I was 7, it was about meeting someone who would then become my friend, a full 10 min in exact detail. Happened just over a year and a half later, I had just moved to a different town, and was in a new house, yet everything in the area I was familiar with, including knowing about a frisbee that had gotten lost on the roof of my new duplex the year before. (I told my mom about it being there the first day we were there, and promptly there was a wind gust, and down it came)

Be forewarned, if you do play Mass Effect 1 to the FULLEST EXTENT before you move onto Mass Effect 2. It's hard to go back into Mass Effect 1 because a lot of the mechanics were changed for the combat. All for the better, I should add.
Yeah, that's what I'm doing.
Ok, the TPS of ME isn't the shitty system they used in GoW, and I rather like it... Fairly unique game experience. Seems like a cross between Knights of the Old Republic and Deus Ex: Invisible War... (at least I think it was KotOR )

I said to change it... Change it so I always have either the lowest or highest rep on this forum.
Best thing to do is really have a per-post rating system that gives a couple icon options like Agree, Disagree, "WTF?", Funny, Helpful, Informative, Dumb, On Drugs, Boring, Interesting, etc... Then have a short group of 4-6 icons where the rep system is now that shows the 4-6 icons that have been most voted for from all your posts, and the number of times it has been voted for. Also have a full list of all the icons, and how many times they have been voted for on the user profile page.
Either that or take it down completely.

I have noticed some spammers recently, get rid of them.
I haven't seen a single topic report. Why don't you contribute instead of complaining?
He probly gets to them after someone else does... If a post has already been reported, it can't be reported again by anybody else. (at least that's what's been happening for me)

I don't actually want to watch FM to many times because eventually it will suck the fun out of it.
How? It'll never stop being funny...

But if an A.I. becomes smart enough/ self aware it would spread across the cloud, thus being everywhere and the problem would not be solved by just unplugging or destroying the main computer or hard drive (like skynet in Terminator)
not a perfect example but; in a few years cars track the driver, and this A.I. is being updates via internet. If microexpressions change on the driver change: Car stops
If you appear drunk: it wont start.... This system gets smarter by learning from the driver and updates to the main system. Others cars do the same.
If after years of learning this A.I. becomes so smart that it sees that the best course is to simply not let humans drive anymore. By the time that the main system has updated all the cars and the human controllers notice a problem it will be to late.
You missed the point entirely. I wasn't saying just one computer, but all of them... (the internet is just a bunch of computers networked)

the Crusades
You really need to re-check your history about what happened during the crusades, what started them, and who and what started the killing...
"Thou shat not kill." Is often taken to mean "Don't ever kill anybody for any reason", however that is not the way that the Catholic church, or any other Christian church that I know of interprets it. The Catholic church, so far as I've found, does not consider it a sin if you are defending someone. (including yourself, someone that will be killed in the future, etc.)

Torrenting ME1 & 2, going to see if they bore me as much as GoW did...

@Bjossi: correct but we arre creating smart machines now to observe our behavior and if necessary correct our actions or warn us or stop us from making any more actions.
They have the skills to learn. So at some point they should learn to do tasks they were not originally created for. They are connected to the Internet.
So if at one point they make a conclusion that it is not the human about to make another mistake and needing to correct it but Conclude that the humans is illogical and he shouldn't be performing any actions. The a.I. then evolved from simple task solving to complex problem solving things, or thinking.
They upload their behavior and others learn those skills.
But you're missing the result...
Result: The computers ignore external input. Humans shut down the computers. Humans replace the hard drives. Humans patch all the AIs. Humans reinstall everything. Life continues as it did before the AI takeover.

Lulz, like a Accursed Lan party.
I have a high-end wireless/wired router... Anyone want to come to Southern Colorado?

Ok, I'm torrenting ME1 &2 to see if they're my style...

which is exactly what the Q&A plugin is good at
Well apparently not, because if it is we wouldn't have all this spam
They haven't implemented it yet...
Yes it would help, but won't stop it altogether.

I think the forum user-spread is just way too wide to have good ping for more than 2 players, unless you all fly to the same location before playing that is.

Wasn't it Die Hard 3? With Samuel L. Jackson?
EDIT: Yep, he was in Die Hard 3.
Yeah, I just forgot the order... I never watch them in order, that's probly why I can't remember the order... lol

Why power down everything? Just flip the switch. (power stations use closed circuit computers, and would not be affected by the AI, same with most military installations)
