  1. will do. I thought all new forums had auto-resize scripts at this point.

It's actually quite rare to find one that does have that auto-resizer... (uses a lot of server processing resources to do)

Also why 800x600. Who is running a 15" monitor nowadays.

98% of laptop users... (mine is a 15.6" that maxes at 1366x768 rez)

  2. Seasons for shows are based on yearly schedules...

I'd prefer Freeman's Mind: The Rise of the G-Man...

Then for Episode 1... Freeman's Mind: Revenge of the G-Man...

    E2... Freeman's Mind: WTF?

  3. A lot of these characters were modelled after real people, weren't they? I think Gman was modelled after Michael Shapiro? Alyx definetely came from a real face.

Michael Shapiro is close, but not quite IMO.

Yes Alyx came from a real person. Her name is up on the Valve Forums... (I'm too busy installing HL2 Cinematic Mod to check right now)

  4. Just figured since there isn't a thread for this here yet, I'd make one... (Besides, I don't like most of the G-Man lookalikes posted in other forum's threads on this topic)

Gordon Freeman = Ross Scott, no question there.

    G-Man possibles:

    Christopher Lee

    Bruce Campbell

Peter Cushing (if he was still alive)

    David Caradine

    Alice Cooper

    William B. Davis

Michael Shapiro (close enough to go on the list)

Christopher Walken (when he's giving his version of the "evil eye")

There was another guy, I think he was on Twilight Zone once, that looked and talked as a perfect match, but I can't seem to find him anywhere...

    Eli Vance possibles:

Bill Cosby (I don't think so personally, his cheeks were too fat)

    Alyx Vance possibles:

    Judith Mossman possibles:

    Isacc Kleiner possibles:

    Barney possibles:

    Breen possibles:

    Fill in the blanks people...

  5. well, there might be a room 4 u in the yellow jackets skirmish company, but im not sure if it'll fit u, as in this game u must follow some orders. for instance, follow a couple of guys, give em cover fire, keep their back, etc.

That's not a restrictive set of orders there, that's more of a "squad go kill/destroy X, and try to all make it back alive" order... Those are the things that I'm good with if I take point...

  6. Wasn't there that satellite that contains over 100k strains of DNA, and Iron Mountain?

I'm pretty sure even when we kill ourselves (or I kill you all) our memories will live on.

Genetic memory doesn't exist, and those places likely won't last till someone else discovers them.

  7. Unfortunately I'm no good at following orders to a letter when I can make a far greater impact on the outcome by violating said orders. I always seem to be better on my own, or with others supporting me... (and so does the team)

I used to solo win when a "pro" clan did coordinated stuff against me... And I truly mean solo in every sense. (only person on the team, the other team full, most of the spectators booing me, lots of people accusing me of hacking, etc.)

So if you have a slot for someone that has a specific mission, (eg. kill the opposing officer at all costs) but is outside of normal orders, then I'm your man.

  8. I want to make Fan fictions of NASA's history in the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. That doesn't qualify as Science Fiction apparently

Science Fiction = Literary fantasy involving the imagined impact of science on society.

So if it's an alternate result of those events, (or alternate events and results) then yes it would be Science Fiction.

There were two films and four books. I'm more a fan of the first book and first movie (the second movie wasn't great) but they are all still part of the same series.

Anyway, if you don't think the fanbase is very big, that's fine. perhaps an "Other (please specify)" option would be best.

What other movie? I couldn't find anything about one.

Also, I'm not including books in the criteria for this particular poll. (I'l be making a literary poll later)
