What's your favourite gun in HL1?
BTGBullseye replied to Jek Jek Roo's topic in Valve Games / Valve Stuff
Thanks, and it looks good now. -
You do all realize that each Cuda Core in GeForce cards is equivalent to 4 Stream Processors in the Radeons right? That means that the GTX480's 480 Cuda Cores is equivalent to 1920 Stream Processors. However the GTX5XX series has better performance in the Cudas, and makes it perform at almost 5x...

Ok, so I might torrent it...

Wait, there's and HD pack for HL1?!? Where? I want!

Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools

What? And what other methods are those? The rock surrounding the fossils is dated by the fossils in said rock, so you can't use that one... If you take the biblical flood as a literal story... But for most people in the past: world = everything they knew. (usually that meant about as far as they could see from the top of the nearest Date tree) -
If it's not being supported and it's over 7 years old, it's likely abandonware. Abandonware Definition

Evolution vs. Creation being taught in schools
BTGBullseye replied to BTGBullseye's topic in Serious Topic Discussion
So every generation is a different species? If not, then how does this prove evolution? Where/when/how was it debunked? There have been several independent studies broadcast on the Discovery and History channels, and there was something in Popular Science about the inaccuracies of C14 dating. (not inaccurate by a few days or even months, but by a varying percentage as high as 99% inaccurate) http://www.nationalgeographic.com/blacksea/ -

Saying there is evidence doesn't show me any evidence. Post #1 in this thread. -

You better allow revoting, since when you changed the votes mine ended up stuck on the Gluon Gun. Oh, and it's Tau Cannon, not gun... -

Show me your evidence, and show me how the evidence I provided doesn't exist. -
Never been compared to him before... lol Thanks. The Mustache is actually fairly thick and long, but nearly invisible close to the roots... Hard to see it in pictures.

How about that thing about some idiots wanting to make Pluto not a planet?

You shat while dreaming? I had a nice dream last night... I was in charge of a revolution of sorts, and started building an immense underground tunnel network. We had just built a couple dozen small groups of rooms for housing the few thousand of us that were active fighters, but we were in the process of designing a massive underground complex that would house a couple million people. The designs were very complex, I doubt if I could duplicate them in under a year, but the tech exists, and could work today. (yes I checked on it immediately after waking up, yes I know I'm a nerd) I then jumped ahead to walking through the place, and everything was different from the designs, including a couple of waterfalls that fell up instead of down, and some loops in the walkways that would require the ability to manipulate gravity to walk down... (in the dream I could affect gravity in that way apparently)

And now it's on my Christmas list. Only costs about $15000 on the black market, and will kill you if you aren't careful...

I still have yet to see any transitioning fossils from anything, to anything else... I've looked quite hard to find a decent one, but they are all faked from what I've seen. -
I'm depressed most of the time. As I said in another thread, I'm just too depressed to bother with suicide... It's too depressing. You know what picks me up? Being able to sit and do nothing for 3 days, without consequences. Works without fail.

Edited. And made it be a maximum of 3 votes. (choose your top 3) I'm going to add a couple other movie series' as well later on, after I decide there is or was a following big enough to warrant it. I'm not putting a "none of the above" option in the poll... Unless you want it at the top where it mean zilch...

My parents are away on a retreat, so I now have the house all to myself for the entire weekend... Party anyone?

Those "genres" are also in WMP, but they still aren't genres... And why would anyone use iTunes in the first place? It sucks...

I'm playing The Lost Viking inside of Starcraft 2, but not playing Starcraft 2... lol

I have no clue why, but that Halo vid made me laugh just about as much as any of your other vids... And it only took that last 15-20 seconds to do... lol

Fish... And various other things designed for aquatic life. It'll even take work off of the air scrubbers with sufficient plant/algae life. That's the most efficient way of producing protein in a contained environment. (you should read some of Ben Bova's books) But definitely lots of UV and full spectrum lights...

I don't have a basement yet, but I want one... Then I'll excavate down under the house and build a tunnel network that goes to under each bank in town, (very well supported tunnels, maybe even use reinforced concrete for the tunnel lining) and have a couple exterior entrances to the tunnel network... Build a 20 x 30 room for the computers, a 15 x 20 entrance room for each entrance, a couple dozen 10 x 15 bedrooms, a 20 x 25 kitchen, and a 50 x 50 meeting room. Maybe even a small shooting range... Tap into a phone line, one of the cable substations, and one of the transformers at one of the power substations. Probly put in some air scrubbers... Then I just have to figure out who I want invite to live with me and survive the apocalypse with...
