ugh, can't stand MMO's either
I have yet to see a MMO that looks and feels tempting.
That's because Blizzard hasn't gotten around to making World of Starcraft...
-
Just torrented Dragon Age 2 to see that "Free Man's Staff"... Doesn't look like a crowbar, and it's discardable by the end of the start sequence. (lasts about 10 min if you go slow)
-
Skyrim will beat both though. Hands down
I have no doubt, though I personally find it very hard to like any game that features dragons and knights in shining armour. Just my taste preventing me from buying into the hype.
They're going to add dragons to the series?
-
You reminded me of Firefly... I've heard Nathan Fillion is saving up a load of money to reboot the series.
Better be able to pull all those same actors back...

2. Up the image size to at least 512kb
No one needs that kind of limit, jpg compression is there for a reason. If you feel the need to upload an oversized image then just upload to an image host and use img tags.
I think he's talking about for the avatars... Right now we have to use a 256 color GIF in order for it to meet the file size requirement. (and that's just barely meet for mine, and I'm at significantly less than the maximum number of pixels used)
3. Fix the "The board is temporarily unavailable" error.Doing 2 would possibly make this even worse. Bandwidth is not something you can take for granted.
Bandwidth is not what's causing the error. (unless you're getting 500+ people constantly you'll never have bandwidth issues on a forum)

Should we call the forums Accursed Farms Forums or Accursed Forums?
I think Accursed Farms Forums is a little long, Accursed Forums sounds better.
Accursed Forums is way better.

But I guarantee you that these people found no legitimate evidence disproving evolution and confirming creation.
Back your guarantee.

I don't mind that Fallout 3 is basically Oblivion with guns because that's basically the main reason I don't like Oblivion. It has no guns. Fallout 3 is just more cathering to my personal taste.
I can probly make a gun mod for you so you can have guns in Oblivion...
Thanks, but no thanks. That would feel out of place in the game's setting. That's the main problem for me with the Elder Scrolls series (including Skyrim). I really can't stand fantasy settings. They feel way too cliché'd for me. I feel more at home in a post-apocalyptic setting like Fallout or dystopian setting like Deus Ex.
Yeah, I can't wait for DX:HR either... I think the combining weapons thing is going to be awesome...

Drinking a half-and-half mix of Fanta Orange, and Fanta Strawberry... About to start watching Tron Legacy.
Tron Legacy is such a cool-looking flick...
Well, I haven't watched it yet... I just downloaded the blu-ray of it from someone who has a copy pre-release... I loved the original, so even if this sucks, it should at least keep me awake until the end.
-
I definitely think you should ignore the critics and trust your gut feeling on it.
Everyone said the Doom movie sucked but I watched it with a pretty open mind and found it somewhat enjoyable.
Ah I didn't like the Doom movie; I was extremely disappointed it wasn't demons from hell but a lame-ass virus. The only part I found really enjoyable was the FPS segment, it was hella good. The rest of it made me wanna snooze.
Yeah, I already knew that so I had very low expectations when I watched it. I think that actually was in my favour though.
I bought the movie... They actually got the military procedures down pretty good... Nobody saying "retreat" and lots of double-taps.

The PC version was okay. Nothing beats the new Hot Pursuit though.
I like being able to customize my cars the way I like them, so IMO NFS:U, NFS:U2, and NFS:MW were better...
Each car in Hot Pursuit has different driving abilities though. I would rather pick a favourite car than have a ton of cars with the same driving abilities and just customize them.
U, and U2 each car had different characteristics all the way throughout the customizing process. Even in MW, where you unlock better cars, there was a noticeable difference in the performance/handling/weight of the cars... (I can take on level 5 pursuits like they're nothing if I'm in a GT40, but I can't do the crazy stunts and #1 race finishes like I can in the Carrera GT, which can barely get me out of a level 4 pursuit)
-
Nope. Just your friendly neighborhood succubus.
Don't worry... I've got plenty of life force to share... (ADHD = 10,000,000 lives in 1, and fast replenishment of depleted life)

I'll torrent it when it's out...

The Chinese are already attacking the US... They've stolen our economy, and are sending substandard or outright dangerous products to us... I give us lass than 50 years before the Chinese invade.
We WON'T nuke our own soil... (or cause a nuclear catastrophe that will end the world's ability to sustain life) That is the stance of the US government, and it's military. All the Chinese have to do is get on our soil, and they're safe from nuclear retaliation.
America will never fall to COMMUNISM! Red Chinese victory IMPOSSIBLE!

I just said they'd invade, not that they'd win...
I can guarantee they'd never win, even if we all have to do guerrilla warfare in Chinese occupied USA for the next century or two.

I've seen owls do that IRL, it's awesome to watch when they do it within 3 feet of you...

I'll just give you this quick list... (this is in answer to that bit about Christianity being anti-scientific)
Some of the Most Influential, Most Famous Scientist who were ChristiansScientists listed in both Scientists of Faith (Christians) and also in one of the general books above (The Scientific 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Scientists, Past and Present, etc.) These individuals could be considered among history's most influential and famous scientists, who also happen to have been devout Christians of various denominations:
Roger Bacon (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Bacon)
Johannes Kepler (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_Kepler)
Johannes Baptista van Helmont (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jan_Baptist_van_Helmont)
Blaise Pascal (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaise_Pascal)
Robert Boyle (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Boyle)
Anton van Leeuwenhoek (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonie_van_Leeuwenhoek)
Carolus Linnaeus (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Linnaeus)
Leonhard Euler (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonhard_Euler)
John Dalton (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dalton)
Michael Faraday (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Faraday)
John Frederick William Herschel (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Herschel)
Matthew Fontaine Maury (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Fontaine_Maury)
James Prescott Joule (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Prescott_Joule)
Gregor Mendel (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregor_Mendel)
William Thomson, Lord Kelvin (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Thomson,_1st_Baron_Kelvin)
James Clerk Maxwell (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Clerk_Maxwell)
George Washington Carver (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington_Carver)
Arthur Stanley Eddington (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Eddington)
All I did was add links to their corresponding Wiki pages, since at the bottom is the list of biographies that I would've linked to if I had the time.
Maybe I should add the list of Jewish scientists too, since they believe in creation as well... Top of that list is Albert Einstein. (I don't think you need a link to know who he is)

Not here, you as well as me are subject to the rules of this forum.
But I do agree that there is nothing wrong with your post. Calm down, QuietGrave, if spouting out bullshit was against the rules we would have permabanned BTGbullseye a while ago.
I love riding on the edge of safe...

Hm, maybe we could all commit suicide and then write about our experiences here afterwards.
I agree, but Michael Archer should go first...

It seems things are stable; I've been coming onto the board for the past three days and haven't been booted yet. Me happy =)
I got an error less than 10 min ago...
Seems to happen any time someone posts the forum goes down for 1-3 min.

Soundtrack to the movie Moon, through my 1972 Zenith Allegro cabinet stereo that is buried under stuff... It sounds like most of the music is coming from everywhere, but there are some parts that just roll around the room as they play... It's the most awesome audio experience I've had yet. (the Zenith Allegro speakers were the first true "full range" speakers made, and still beat most $5000 sets today for audio quality)

I think it would be very helpful if there was a special forum for moderators and other staff. It is difficult to work with several people and not know what actions they do or want to do. Plus it can be a place to talk about noteworthy threads that seem more hot than others and reach a conclusion on what to do.
I suggested this amongst other things to Ian I think it was who said he'd pass on my suggestions. Sadly nothing's come of it but I assume it's because our Administrators are busy people, dealing with the recent forum issues and such.
As I am a mod for another site I can say that the mods/admins only forum is extremely helpful if the mods have an issue the admins need to know about. (especially when you don't want it as an open discussion for everyone to see)
It usually improves communication in the admin/mod ranks, and is really easy to implement.
this is the best game ever made
