While I do agree that those would be the first thing people would want to make, and a lot of people would want to do that, there are those of us that do in fact prefer real-world living, provided we don't have to work to make that living.

Indeed. It also doesn't help that a lot of people claim to be a "christian" without having been baptised, gone to church, or read the bible, and the masses assume they represent the entirety of Christianity. -
I honestly think it is going to take a truly major catastrophe or near-extinction event to truly change the course the human race is on. That or the invention of Star Trek type replicator technology.
