Last I heard, the save game wipe was because they had issues with corrupted saves, not as a hostile act from the company.

Yeah, nothing except the hairstyles and anti-nuclear attitudes belong to 1982... Everything else is much more recent. That makes this a totally nonsensical game to me, and I would not be able to enjoy it.
FYI, since 1987 we have had nuclear reactor designs that were physically incapable of meltdown, even if you were trying to force a meltdown.

First off, I don't think Bethesda's noninterference policy regarding mods is a bad thing, nor do I find their mod monetization attempt to be inherently anti-modder. They provide, free for everyone, comprehensive modding tools for their game; definitely not the actions of a company that wants to limit you to paid mods. Also, they do pay attention to the modding scene in a good way, as the introduction of settlement building proves. (it was a very popular mod for Skyrim)
Now, I have a few mods to recommend:
1. Sim Settlements + all associated (place a desk, and activate one section of it, and never worry about your settlement again, has numerous expansions)
2. Weapons of Fate (more realistic ballistics)
3. Armorsmith Extended (armor modding/crafting overhaul, not extensively different from vanilla)
4. Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch (a must have)
5. Companion Stealth Distance Fix (keeps your companions from humping your back any time you crouch)
6. Snapable Junk Fences (adds snap nodes to the junk fences so you don't have the horrendous gaps between pieces)
7. Scrapable Commonwealth (makes a lot of non-scrapable for no apparent reason stuff scrapable)
8. Scavenger (pick up a fan, and instead you only get the relevant components from it, not a bulky+heavy fan to lug around)
9. Mo Betta Scrap (more logical resulting scrap from scrapping items)
10. Scrap Dead Things (corpses can be scrapped for fertilizer and bone)
11. True Storms (better looking and MUCH higher performance than vanilla weather)
12. Wasteland Water Revival (looks like real water, not 2000's era game water)
13. Faster Terminal Displays (cuts out well over an hour of the waiting in the game, just because of faster text display on computers)
14. Legendary Enemy Spawning (more legendary items, higher game difficulty)
15. Live Dismembering (knock a supermutant's arm off so he can't fight)
16. No Glowing Mines and Realistic Tripwires (realism)
17. Better Settlers (self explanatory)
18. Valdacil's Item Sorting (loot management)
19. Insignificant Object Remover (better performance, no negatives)
20. Truly Ghoulish (lets you become a Ghoul or Child of Atom, radiation becomes your friend)
21. Advanced Bubble Turret Set (cobbled together turrets aren't your only defenses anymore)
22. Auto Doors (make doors that auto-close after 10 sec, so that deathclaw can't wander in through your gate that was opened by a provisioner)
23. Bigger Settlements (no more absurdly tiny build limits!!!)
24. Place Everywhere (no more red placement, you can put it there if you want; I use it for making underground power lines in Sanctuary)
25. Scrap Everything (you can delete houses, roads, and even workshops if you want)
26. Spring Cleaning (similar to Scrap Everything, but for different stuff)
27. Power Armor Animation Changes (faster enter/exit for power armor)
28. Old World Radio - Boston (adds several radio stations with a variety of music, NIN, 8-bit Hits, Synthstream FM, etc.)
29. Better Wait Menu (waiting and sleeping menu improvement)
30. Darker Nights (if you're not a fan of "just before sunrise at the darkest" vanilla nights)
31. See-Through Scopes (for a bit of realism)
32. Stronger Institute Weaponry (they're supposed to be the highest-tech in the game, so why are they weaker versions of lasers?)
And on to a few of Meelis's complaints...
1. There is a mod out there that adds different ammo to the game, though it is as a weapon mod instead of the actual different ammos. (that's the thing I miss most from New Vegas)
2. VIS (Valdacil's Item Sorting) fixes a lot of the inventory issues.
3. That weight limit stuff is why there is a specific set of perks available in the Strength column... Running and fast traveling while encumbered.

What happened on September 2017?
Somebody, or a bunch of somebodies, donated a lot more than the average.

Not too shabby getting ~$2.5k a month...

That last option was too good to pass up... On that note, I have no idea what happened because I haven't been paying that much attention to the news in recent weeks.

So, I want to discuss the deeper stuff, Sel and Bull you don't need to be a part of this, you seem uninterested in doing anything except 1-3 line responses anyways.
Seems like your thinking is that we can't possibly have anything to add if we don't type up an essay... That's a problem. Not for me, but for you. Just wanted to point that out.

You can't get anything even remotely related to meth or other drug production without having someone breathing down your neck.
If that was true, then how is it that meth is so common? One of the major ingredients for the production is in the strike strips of matches, and they are not monitored.

Not surprising at all, though this result makes me question whether or not "libertarian" is the opposite of "authoritarian" since i have fundamental disagreements with libertarian ideas.
The "Libertarian" political party and their espoused ideals are not necessarily the same as actual libertarianism.

I find people want guns because they're scared of "deviants". They're worried a Muslim person will suicide bomb a place they frequent, and a gun makes them feel safe. They're scared of black people, because they're "thugs", better keep a gun on me at all times so i can shoot the next "thug" who'll try to rob me. It's a byproduct of this fear of the "deviant".
What are you smoking?

A very good video, thanks for sharing!

Hello friend. I thought I'd ask you something, as you seem an amiable fellow. I, like many good ol' american boys, hope to some day go to a range and rent a full auto to make some noise with. In most videos I see, people shooting a full auto for the first time have an instructor right next to them. I assume this is because they are difficult to control. I haven't forgotten that news story a bunch of years ago, when that ten year old girl accidentally blew up her instructor's head with a full auto Uzi because she lost control of it (Deepest apologies if that's too political. I only bring it up because that kind of thing worries me, because as much as I like fun, I like safety more.) I'd like to ask if you think a normal adult has anything to fear from going full auto, even in a controlled environment. I don't have 10 year old girl arms, and I have about two years of safe recreational shooting under my belt. Maybe I worry too much.
The reason an instructor is required is because unless you took the 7+ years to get the licence, it is illegal to own a fully automatic weapon, and possession of one is tightly controlled. If you were to run off with it, or lose control, the owner is liable.
The only thing I would say to help keep you from losing control on first use is: fire in short bursts, and if it even slightly feels like you're losing it, let off the trigger.
General Gun Information?Of course to you, it's a "Why does that Howitzer have a handle and trigger?"Probably the original reason was "why not?". Now, it's more of a "I could hunt with this" or "there is nobody in their right mind that would break in if they knew I had this and was willing to use it". It's also one of the few sidearms that is actually useful if a bear decides to attack you.

I didn't have a good understanding of many of the questions, and there was no 'don't care/ know' option.
That's what Google is for, to get detailed descriptions and examples of the questions.
[EDIT] Retook the test again...
Economic Left/Right: -1.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.77
And yet I'm still forced to exclusively vote Republican because the DNC requires its members to be pro-abortion, which is a non-negotiable issue for me.

Just an FYI...
Because this site does not outwardly appear to use a proper secure connection, regardless of what it apparently says it uses on the backend, the Accursed Farms site is going to be flagged as "not secure" in July of this year. This will not only drive casual visitors away from the site, but also drop the Google Search ranking of the site, potentially allowing sites not affiliated with Ross Scott to come in at the top of the results instead.

Though I personally don't see the similarity in thread names apart from one 3 letter word, and the same starting letter, I'll accept that it may appear that way for someone else. Maybe reading the previous post before posting could help you determine what you're posting to... (I made it very clear in my necropost that this was not the thread for political topics)

The Commonwealth of Nations.
And why should that matter in this discussion?
1. You can't just say x culture isn't compatible with ours because we have so many goddamn cultures here. The biggest cultural difference I can think of is that the United States has a culture of excess, and seeing that change wouldn't be a bad thing. That's just my opinion though.2. New Zealand, Canada, all of Scandanavia, Denmark, Iceland, and the Netherlands are some of the happiest countries in the world. All of them have a universal single-payer healthcare system, all of them have strong but fair gun regulations, all of them have similar or higher divorce rates to the United States, and all of them recognize gay marriage and LGBT rights and representation.
3. You're comparing the U.K. as a whole to specific areas of the U.S., and beyond that I'm pretty sure London is safer than Flint, or St. Louis, or Baltimore, or Chicago, or Detroit.
4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
All sources and citations included in the list. Canada ranks highest of all the countries I've mentioned for gun homicides and it's still more than 9 times lower than the United States. That's not mentioning the frequency and magnitude of mass shootings and terrorist attacks in the United States.
1. I most certainly can say that, because I dare you to find any other country that puts the right of firearm ownership directly in the founding principles of their country, (besides Mexico which doesn't actually allow that right in practice, or Guatemala which was not one of your espoused countries of "sanity") even so much as to put it second only to the freedom of speech. The culture of excess is literally what I described at the beginning that you disagreed with.
2. None of that proves objectively that their social systems are "better".
3. I'm comparing all of the UK to anywhere in the USA, because it's a valid comparison that you don't like. The UK has a MUCH higher rate of violent crime than the USA, just not with as many guns.
4. That has absolutely nothing to do with sanity, or proof of anything related to this particular subdiscussion.
5. They are related to the conversation, because the cultural and societal correlations you've made don't add up practically in other real-world examples. This statement doesn't make any sense.
Good job on missing the context anyway. It's not a contradiction to say the fact that we are having and always have had our "values" subverted isn't a problem. It hasn't been a problem for the past couple hundred years and it isn't a problem now.I didn't miss the context, and it's only your opinion that the subversion of values isn't a bad thing. I bet you would consider it bad if that subversion caused people to steal your stuff, and kill you for being a witness.

I used to regularly take Xanax and basically all it does is help me cope with heavy stress. It's pretty easy to see how that would help a shooter carry out their deed, but that doesn't mean the drug itself is responsible. I've never taken prozac but I imagine the exact same principle still applies.
Cherry Picking, especially when considering it ignores the officially recognised side effects of the drugs themselves.
Actually, most gun-related deaths are suicides or accidents. Homicides are still a huge chunk of gun-related deaths, but the majority of those are committed with guns that were (at least initially) legally obtained. You could still technically say the majority of shootings happen with illegally obtained weapons and not technically be wrong, but for the most part those are illegally obtained because they were """borrowed""" from somebody who legally owns them. The only source I can find for that statistic is from 2013; 4 years old. Unless you have an up to date source, I'm going to say that sort of argument needs a clarification to indicate that the argument may be out of date.
Almost all guns are obtained legally initially, (how many guns are stolen from the gun store, or directly from the manufacturer?) it's what happens after that determines legality. Though I'm not sure why you're bringing this up, as no law that can be enforced will ever change that someone can always just hand another person a firearm to use.
The information about each tragedy should be readily available so you could look back at the causes and what preventative measures could've been taken. This might seem effective but only because these tragedies popping up in the media only ends with people bickering about shitty solutions until the situation's been forgotten. Nothing actually gets done when it really should. That's not the fault of media coverage, that's the fault of lawmakers and constituents. Some of the shooters do so just to get on TV. I agree that the information should be provided though. I see no workable way not to publicize in a way that would appeal to the shooters that desire that publicity without also harming the public knowledge.
The fact that nothing ever gets done is because as far as we can tell nothing that can be done will actually fix anything related to the problem, and most that can be done will make things much worse for the law abiding citizens of this country.
Argumentum ad Hitlerum didn't take long to show up now did it?This is pretty much basic generational fear, I've been over this before.
Also I'm glad you put the disclaimer that this is subjective because I should point out something. Physical discipline is objectively mentally unhealthy. It carries a risk of trauma., and saying "I was spanked and I turned out fine" is suvivorship bias for all intents and purposes.
I'm going to need to see some unbiased objective proof that that is the case, because that doesn't make any logical sense.
It should be said that white nationalists and white supremacists make up the bulk of domestic terrorists, and I'm pretty sure they have for about a decade now. Islamic fundamentalists definitely make up a sizable chunk of terrorist attacks but the rest of those groups don't.Worst you'll see from ANTIFA and BLM are riots, and people do get hurt (maybe even killed but I haven't been able to find anything on ANTIFA or BLM-related deaths) in those, but individual cases of politically motivated assault and violence are hate crimes, not terrorism.
Again, I'm going to need to see some objective unbiased proof of these claims.
Also I like how you threw in the KKK presumably to sound impartial. I'm sure you could do better than one right-wing hate group. It was a valid example. Why are you complaining about it?
