  1. We had to get rid of our mower because my house is built on an ancient dried up riverbed and while the water is centuries gone, the thousands of small rocks aren't and we've had rock chucks in the past; one that almost hit someone. We've resorted to either the gardener handling the weeds or going out there with a couple barrels and hand-pulling them out ourselves.

    Buy a goat.

You know, my family has actually legit thought about buying a goat. The only thing stopping us is our dog would hate it.

  2. Battlefield 4. The stars aligned this morning and gave me one of the best games I've played yet. Then after a few rounds everything returned to normal and it was loss after loss. Although I have gotten better at leading RPG shots into pesky helicopters.

  4. Atheism is the opposite extreme. Just like there's varying degree's of religion there are varying degree's of the atheism as well, and unfortunately on both sides the most radical ones are usually the loudest and most obnoxious.

I don't really follow any set of beliefs other than "It is what it is and what it is is fucking cool." I guess as long as you find whatever works for you...

  5. Just finished playing Elite. I finished a bounty hunting mission in which the last player-NPC I killed before completing the objective was named Ohmwrecker. While I doubt the real Ohmwrecker plays that game and it was just a doppelganger, I couldn't help but laugh that I'd run across even the doppelganger considering the sheer size of the game and how I was pretty much in a space equivalent to "Buttfuck, Egypt" (the battle took place in an area so far away from the star I was at, I had enough time to make tea and listen to 2 songs while I traveled to it, and I hit a speed cap of 890 times the speed of light.)

I think I'm gonna go read now. I had my spacey nerd fun for today.

  6. Playing Elite Dangerous and marveling at how I manage to encounter all the stupid little coding side-effects in one session. AKA fined because ship flew in front of my automated turret, fined for having a Black Box by the people who payed me to retrieve the Black Box, shit like that....

  7. I really wanna get back into music since I have some time now. I haven't played an instrument in over 10 years though so I'm gonna be undoubtedly bad at it when I do lol. I suppose for now I could just use Pro Tools since I needed that for sound class. Probably not the most ideal for straight up music creation without recording an instrument but it does have a couple plugins that came with it that could help. One of them is Vacuum I believe. Not sure what the others called but it's good for drum loops. I'm kinda scared of my Pro Tools right now though. Last time I installed it my computer had a fatal bluescreen. Not sure if PT had anything to do with it but the trauma has been dealt.

Also question about the program you use, I have a midi keyboard but is it possible to make tracks in it without one? The one I have is kinda finicky on it's best of days. Things ooooold.

  8. Dear Planet Earth,

Not finding something attractive does not equal body shaming. Like stop. Shaming someone for there body is body shaming. I get what you're trying to do but beauty is also an opinion believe it or not. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." ON TOP OF THAT, not finding something beautiful is also not body shaming.

Like seriously. People are trying to replacing a problem through hive-mind mentality which is a shitty way to deal with a problem. I'm not gonna throw away my individuality because people somehow think because I prefer A over B that I'm somehow a bad person. I said I prefer A over B not "A is good, B is bad".

No wonder SJW's get such a bad rep. They do everything completely wrong and they do it loudly.

  9. technically responding to a question in this thread is still random because no one expects someone to actually respond here.

    But you know, details.

A delightful fresh of breath air.
