  1. So today I just met someone who worked on both Command and Conquer Red Alert, Renegade, and Half Life 2. Had the most delightful conversation with him too. That was pretty cool.

  2. #1 rule of the shitty Resident Evil movies: if you have a mask, you're gonna die. 115% of the time. people who's face you can see die like 80% of the time, what chances do you think an masked, unnamed soldier is gonna have?

  3. I just played a riveting game of Vector Strike for 30 seconds before realizing that asshole who kept spawnkilling everyone with a carbine was top ranked world wide in kills. That's enough of THAT for now.

    So... A hacker...

OT: Planet Stronghold. Not a bad game...

Maybe, maybe not. That game has some unbelievable players but I suspect it's because of how close it feels to the old unreal tournament games that they just picked up on it immediately.

Anywho, the last game I played was Peggle Nights.

  4. Just sitting and hoping that the spider bite that I got rather high up on my right leg, and rather closer to the inside of it, wasn't by one of the nastier spiders, and that my body can fix it within the week. (it's already been 3 days, and it's still bleeding on occasion)

That almost sounds like a wolf spider. O_o Nasty bites but not toxic to humans thankfully. My dad got bitten by one in his sleep. had a welt on his face for like 2 weeks.

listening to music while planning my entire Fable characters life. (I don't do it for many games but Fable is one of the exceptions)

  5. I can still perceive audio as high 24kHz, but only "hear" it as high as 17.5kHz... (perceiving audio and hearing it are two different things, trust me)

Again, tinnitus, and the sound of my laptop fans..

I understand that actually. I had a sound class last quarter and when I messed with some of the electronic instruments I occasionally made some "sounds" that I couldn't really hear but could tell was there. Can't really say how, sorta like a pressure in my head if that makes sense.

(this song is super smooth for any guitar fans :P)

  6. Seriously? You have tinnitus, Bullseye?

Yes... It's actually caused by the fact that I've always been able to hear much higher frequencies than normal... Until I started getting tinnitus I was able to hear as high as 31kHz... And then any time the old CRT TV was on, I could hear the tube running, same for almost any electronics. I could even tell when a monitor was going to die about a month before it gave any physical signs of failure, just because of the sound it made.

On topic: Back to the trance station...

tinnitus aside, this is actually normal for a lot of people. 20hz-20khz is the average hearing age of adults after the decline in hearing range takes place due to aging. I was always able to hear the ringing in the tube TV and monitors but as of the past few years I no longer hear it. Although according to my last hearing test, my hearing is still above normal in range detection. I don't really believe it because I'm practically deaf in my right ear.

  7. I was browsing the site since before the forum launch but I never bothered to make an account until a few months after. Even then I wasn't active till another few months later. I do remember browsing as a guest and watching Alyxx thunder post though lol. Was already over like 1000 posts when I made mine.

Hey, I'm not proud of my post-whoring. :P But what can I say, I liked the forum and liked being active.

I do hope "Liked" being past tense is a mere slip of the tongue? :P
