I've gotten to the point where I prefer things that are unique. I don't like reskin animes where it feels like nothing new is innovative or creative. Hell, that Princess Princess anime I mentioned in the random thread is actually enjoyable simply because of how out of the ordinary and funny it is.

I think he means anime he wouldn't have to explain to his parents why he's watching, but if blood is something that is an issue than I will say Darker than Black may be a bit edgy as well. Quite a few hard to watch moments. Hell, the first 5 minutes of the show has one when a guy intentionally dislocates his own middle finger and relocates it afterwards.

Well, actually, that last one is edgy, very edgy at times, but it's one of the funniest I've ever seen. THis is one of the few where I prefer the dub over sub, simply because Steve Blum(onizuka) really shines in this one. For those who don't know, Steve Blum also did Spike Speigels voice in Cowboy Bebop. ONe of my fav voice actors. :3

Those all SHOULD have Dubbed versions if you don't like sub.

so lately, I've adapted a dangerous game to tide my summer boredom. I call it anime roulette. I chose a random letter, then I chose a random anime starting with that letter, and watch it through and through no matter how good/bad(I'm a tad masochistic, get over it.)

 

Well, most recent was the letter P and the anime became Princess Princess. I thought it would be me just sitting through another girly show. Nope. Boys. Crossdressing boys. at an all boy school. so the others have "eye candy" in the absence of real girls.

 

This is... gonna be interesting.

 

I for one would like to see a real school where that actually passes for a majority good idea.

I know a good anime that is almost the opposite of the one your watching, it's called "Queen's blade" but here is a warning there is a LOT of fan service and nudity (but the good kind) you can find the unedited English dub on Netflix watch instant

I'm gonna revive this sadly underloved thread with a challenge to anyone with a strong will.

Anime Roulette. You have to chose a letter. Any random letter. You then have to find a list of anime starting with that letter, and chose one from that randomly. Then, you watch it. first episode to last, no matter how good or bad. >

The only exception is excessively long anime, such as gintama, bleach, one piece, etc. unless, of course, you want to sit through that.

This game lead me to one called Vandread. it's a weird one but it's not bad. space-mecha anime in which male and female are at war with each other when some new entity appears out of nowhere and attacks without prejudice.

well, another seemingly ordinary day struck down by the news that I won't be seeing someone I love for possibly months...

passing time with a facebook game called War Commander.

If geeky nerds could gave gang wars, this game is as close to it as it gets. Some serious E-thuggin' going on there. I honestly feel shame for the fellow nerd having to associate with these weirdo's. You do one thing that breaks the "delicate circle of order" set up in a FACEBOOK game called WAR COMMANDER (war commander, not negotiation commander. There are no REAL alliances here, just a bunch of people agreeing to wipe each others asses so they can feel safe)and they will bring their friends to make you realize just how important their "operation" is. Because we all know, dominate the facebook games, dominate THE WORLD!!! It really is like an internet gang. They always take a "join our group or gtfo" attitude about the game XD

Yeah if you haven't noticed, the only reason I still play it is because these guys are more fun than the game. pop in, watch em fight for an hour or so while I just go ravage some NPC bases, then pop out to return to a life of more rewarding actions.

League of Legends. This time as the new champ, Draven. My friend at school was saying he sucked. I guess... if you suck as well. he's more fun than I anticipated he would be, and if you coordinate his abilities just right, no one runs from him and lives. Although he is really squishy....

well you see, they rewards good players and punish facerollers. if a scout has good aim, he'll have that speed boost more than not. also, a smart scout never lets a pyro get close enough to benefit from that damage weakness. the soldier rocket launcher I feel will be usable like any reg rocket launcher, and who knows, the flight deviation could even benefit you if you let off a shoddy rocket and it corrects itself to where you wanted. that pyro weapon, if aimed good enough, can get close range combatants away from allies without having to be in the fight yourself. It might even be a good ranged method of knocking back ubered targets, we'll see.

honestly, it's a refreshing change from lolphlogers and machina madness.

Also, hales own grenade launcher. bout damn time, too.
