well, maybe so then. but that doesn't change the fact that even with the nerf, it still outputs shots significantly faster than the scattergun and reloads all bullets instead of 1 at a time. in the end, after the nerf, the DPS of the weapon is still greater than that of the scattergun.

As for Derpy, I'm still not getting why everyone's loving the fact that she's now cannon, I read her origin story and all that, but I'm still lost and confused about it all.

It's one of those prolonged exposure things. The older bronies are more attached to the character from all the attention she's gotten throughout the months. Stories, on-screen appearances, fan art, all of that.

If I became a brony 2 weeks ago, I'd probably look at the attention she's getting and think wtf, but I've really started liking the character just from the numerous draw-friend appearances, and the occasional stories (one of them being the Worst Baker in Equestria series which was very amusing.)

So yeah, to see one of my favorite fanon characters become canon is a really big deal for me. It also says that despite what Hasbro does at times, they still love us. <3

You realize the most the shortstop can do at long range is 6-15 damage?

Actually the shortstops scatter is much less than the other ones, which is why I've taken 60-70 damage shots from ranges that would other wise do about 20-40 from the regular scattergun

A Scout's main disadvantages are the reload time of his scattergun, his low hp, and the fact that he has to dive into close range to get a good meatshot on his opponent.

 

The Shortstop along with the set took away all of these disadvantages. It was essentially a troll machine. You were given more hp, with a secondary weapon that gave hp upon hits. That weapon also could be used on invisible spies.

 

The fish was a reskin of the bat, but it also gave away dead ringer spies. If you hit a spy, and it didn't say "FISH KILL," he was still out there.

 

The Shortstop gave you the power to attack from long ranges. Not to mention it had a reload time akin to the pistol, automatically loading four shots into it, whereas the scattergun would have to reload all 6 shots one at a time.

 

All of this let scouts just run around 20 feet from their enemies just sniping them. If they got hurt, big whoop. Throw some milk on em and keep pestering them from far away. I'm glad they nerfed the shortstop. Now I think it's actually balanced. Scouts should not be able to attack that far away with such a damage output.

The one thing that's really been pissing me off?

Well let me explain it in the form of a story.

So I was watching episode 1 of Dragoon on one of those anime sites that have the built in chat box. I saw someone post a picture of digital airbrush painting for the furry community. Lets just say, the guy who had the biggest mouth and the smallest brain started speaking. "All furries need to fucking die" was the first word out of his mouth.

I made the few passive comments addressing the ignorance in his comment as insult-free as I could. He then proceeded to say "no, I'm right. they're all head cases" and went on a little bad grammar filled story about seeing some guy at school watching gay furry porn. This prompted the obvious "yeah, um, not all furries do that."

His argument? "yes they do, I have proof" and linked me a black and white comic. Lets just say, that's where I lost faith in the discussion. I didn't read it, but if this guy is going to use opinionated art comics from his fellow haters and decide to use it as proof, I'm fucking DONE with him anyways.

I snapped, and the last thing I said before I went silent was "I don't like the rule 34 aspect of everything either, but you know what I REALLY hate? Shallow minds with large mouths who try to take the faults of a communities subgroup and pin it on the entire community as a whole. The over abundance of people like you on this site are the reason I'm so inactive now."

Must have made my point though because he stopped talking altogether as well.
