Honestly Rare, that set of data has absolutely NO backing whatsoever. If they had done a poll and gotten those results... okay. But "Rainbow Dash is best pony" is a friggin' meme! That's just one instance of how that kind of data is ridiculously skewed and takes on results that aren't necessarily true. Just because there are more search links seriously doesn't mean a thing. I doubt the results would be the same If EQD (The world's central pony hub) or The HUB (The organization that produces the show) actually polled people, this would probably be the order:

 

1. Rainbow Dash

2. Pinkie Pie

3. Fluttershy

4. Twilight Sparkle

5. Rarity

6. Applejack
