  1. Dont your weapons get picked up by that scanner thingie, except for the gravity gun? thats what makes ravenholm fun and different- just shooting the zombies in that place gets old faaaaast

Um, no, you keep your weapons. The part you're thinking of is later in the game.

  2. I play it. And as for those who said it sucks, they don't know what they're talking about. Even though SC1 is in my heart the greatest RTS ever, this is the second greatest. They did a fantastic job on it.

Unfortunately my antivirus hates the new update so I'm currently trying to figure out how to let it pass manually.

I'm the casual campaign/skirmish type, though. I've done some online but Online RTS has never really done it for me. not to mention I don't play consistently enough anymore to stay good enough for online. XD

  3. Scout is not underpowered. I play a sandman scattergun scout with either mad milk or crit cola(depends on situation) and I can take out heavy medic combo's if I can position them right. The LAST thing you ever want to do as scout is charge in the front. look for side paths, flank, run in fast, pump full of lead, and get out before they can react. Rinse, repeat. always taking a different path, jumping like a monkey while doing all this. You don't need to stick around till they're dead, you can make multiple passes if your team isn't there to finish him.

if the map has a lot of pyro's, go mad milk. If you find yourself often able to sneak up on enemies, go crit cola. you can take out a heavy in 3 shots assuming you don't miss or he doesn't get a shot in on you.

I didn't farm a scattergun to server-clearing to not know what to do as scout. :P

I'd say the biggest danger aside from running into a spun up heavy, would be a good soldier, and a pyro. pyro's fire tears apart any scout(which is why mad milk becomes so valuable) and a soldiers splash damage makes your jumps less effective if he aims properly.

And remember, sandman's ball is there to be used. And the farther from the target, the longer the stun. Use it to get in close then circle strafe em while burning em down.

Hell, if you're creative enough, go Bonk! and kill an engi by positioning him between you and his sentry. So fun to do that.

  4. Well, people have been talking about wanting a roleplaying topic for a while so here you go. A very basic one to suit you till others come up with ideas.

Essentially, this is an arena. Fight against other battles in RP style. One rule though, no godmoding yourself.

    So lets do this!
