In a special brand of cosmic what-the-fuckery I somehow managed to fling my phone from my left side, over to the right of me, into a bowl of ice cream, sending the spoon sailing back to where my phone was before. All by lifting my arm up.

Reading youtube comments because I hate myself. Current gem is someone who firmly believes that gravity is a "cute" theory that's made up to explain why things fall. I read all 100+ comments and HOLY SHIT their argument is like the plot of Doctor Who: Made up and full of holes.

OT: About to fire up Dark Souls 3 and capitalize on the new-to-series players having a hard time and murder some bosses in jolly cooperation. It's a good way to have some fun when not in the mood to scout out hostile new areas.

I can't tell if the game is easier or if all that time I spent in Dark Souls and Bloodborne has conditioned me to be able to play this so effectively. I've lost track of all the times I've encountered areas where there's other players' bloodstains covering everything and I had no trouble.

It's still ridiculously fun though. It's got the world design and gameplay of the first with the tight controls and responsiveness of Bloodborne.

Fun game so far though it crashed quite a bit for me, though never while in the actual game, just during menus.

Best case crash scenario.

Battlefield 4.

The (unfortunately very few) infantry only servers are very active late evening and they're so much more fun. The player base is also of an average higher skill because they actually know how to use their guns instead of just corner camping a map with your friend in a tank and using infrared.

Dark Souls 3

9 hours of it. Even got to PvP a bit. Though I'm absolutely astonished at how fast people have started forest ganking. Games not even been out a day. Unless those were a bunch of japanese players in NG+. One of them did have a really nasty spear and I couldn't dodge it for the life of me because of lag.

The problem from what I'm hearing is less that they're shutting down the server and more that people feel the game, as it was in 2004, is being killed off and blizzard refuses to let anyone play it the way they wanted to in the past. People have stated that they'd be willing to resub if they could get legacy servers, yet blizzard has even gone to say "you think you want that but you don't want that." which is quite honestly bullshit. I'm sure every month that goes by with that line of thought is a healthy chunk of sub revenue they're losing with that line of thought.

Also don't believe them if they say they don't have the code anymore. That's bullshit. A company like blizzard would have multiple backups of code, legacy and current. They're simply using this as an excuse. If they DON'T have the backup code anymore then that's even more respect lost for a company because not backing up everything is a mistake even learning coders know not to make.
