  1. I just saw someone on twitter call someone out for kissing Sony's ass while having an xbox controller in their avatar and having almost nothing but posts about the xbox and how much better it is.

Irony so sweet my coffee is ruined.

  2. Blightmare (Blighty as everyone calls me) is my typical go-to username on many a website. I used to have it here too but I got locked into this one after name changes were no longer allowed :P

  3. HOMESTAR RUNNER: Whoa, check me out, Strong Bad, I look a-smart!

STRONG BAD: You sure do, stupid. Now say something.

HOMESTAR RUNNER: {smugly} And I'm standing on one foot!

STRONG BAD: {urging} Come on, say something smart! You can do it!

    HOMESTAR RUNNER: Science!

STRONG BAD: Uh, that's pretty good. Keep going!

HOMESTAR RUNNER: Science again! I said science again!

STRONG BAD: Let's move away from science. Try math.

    HOMESTAR RUNNER: Plus two.

STRONG BAD: Okay, this isn't going—

    HOMESTAR RUNNER: Hundred!

I was literally quoting the "Science again" part with my family yesterday. O_o

  4. Playing Battlefield 4.

I decided to take a nice, long dive into the options menu. (graphics, gameplay, controls, etc) and no wonder I couldn't play on the same level as a lot of people in vehicles. I had all the garbage default settings. Changed a bunch of things around such as separating vehicle turret aim from the vehicle rotation (so turning doesn't mess up my aim.) as well as set the FOV to 90 on everything and turned off motion blur. Now I can actually see things and I don't get dizzy. Also turned on a setting called "uniform soldier aim" which they claim helps muscle memory and I don't notice much of a difference but aiming certainly feels easier.

Now to take this into a real game and be humbled by how much I still suck.

  5. So I'm rapidly approaching that wall in my programming ability of what I can do with a limited knowledge of math and I need to start finding ways to overcome it. I don't need to be able to understand advanced physics since there's already thing's like physX and Havok for that. I'm talking more about algebra, and some calculus and trigonometry.

Does anyone know of any online resources that could help me with this? I've been using one site right now called Math Is Fun which is great as a crash course resource but I need something a little more indepth.

    Thanks!
