  1. Beginning a personal Bloodborne challenge. I call it "Gentle Giant"

I can only level up health and endurance, can never upgrade my weapons, can't use my gun, can't use special items to boost damage such as fire/bolt paper or beast pellet.

This is gonna be silly and take forever if I ever beat it. But I'm at that point where I gotta get creative to keep it interesting.

  2. Bloodborne PVP

I'm surprised to find my level 256 get's more encounters than my level 80. Not to mention all the stats at second soft cap allow me to try literally anything I want which is more fun.

Of course, lag cost me a lot of fight's. The one thing they can never seem to balance. Even got killed by a guy who was way out of range for his weapon the entire time simply because my shiternet couldn't figure out how to keep model and hitbox in the same spot. <_<

  3. I left it in sleep mode for about 20 minutes just now to go make food and only 40 seconds passed which is about the time between hitting sleep and relaunching. O_o

Regardless I try to make an effort to shut down when not needing to preserve something.

  4. I'm very intrigued by the RAM actually. It's pretty much a cliff wall lol. 0 to 5 GB in the blink of an eye. Did you open everything all at once? XD

Even my ram doesn't do that and I have a habit of attempting to launch 7 programs before the first even began to load.

Also I forgot context for mine. The uptime only counts outside of sleep mode. I haven't turned the damn thing off since like December started. XD

  5. Thing about me is when I go to sleep at night I leave a lot of things incomplete, and it's happened numerous times where when I shut everything down when it's incomplete, I have trouble remembering everything that I had on hold and where I left off. I don't have the most fantastic memory so even when I try to write stuff down I always leave something out. Suits me best to just boot it up and find everything where I left it.

  6. I'm so sorry to hear that Jeb. Stuff like that is never easy, especially when they end sour like that. I pray you find someone who's truly worthy of your affection and brings you nothing but happiness.

Wow, like 2 days in and just fuck February. January was hardly better. This year better get it's shit together because if the rest of it is anything like the start then there's gonna be Hell-and-a-Half²™ to pay.

Ah who am I kidding. I'm probably just gonna write "2016" on a piece of toilet paper before I wipe and pretend I won.

  7. So Jeb, I know you were curious once about the uptime of my computer after extended uses of the Sleep mode:

Almost 8 days. And things are starting to act funny so I think I'm gonna go restart it now.

  8. Drama loves to fuel itself. While no doubt this is being blown a little bigger than it needs to be (considering it's almost certain they've lost at this point) I feel the difference in execution is what's making the difference between Sony and these guys. Sony did it rather quietly and it was resolved as such, where as not only did these guys make an announcement to the world, but they made follow up claims attempting, and ultimately failing, to save face and make their idea look better.

Not only that, but trademarking the word "React" with no real context added to it leads to a much wider range of potential problems than the phrase "Let's Play". Say that someone releases a video titled "this kid's reaction is hilarious" that has actually nothing to do with the react video format and is just a video of some kid flipping his shit over something, then, if they for some reason wanted to, they could copyright claim that video for name copying or even simply uploading a "reaction". This is of course a hypothetical worst case scenario but it's the possibility none-the-less that's scary. On top of that, they're taking action before it's even finalized and have in the past exploited Youtube's broken copyright system to shut down people who've already been doing what they want to do, just so they can lay claim to it themselves (see the link Ross put up and the part about Elders React.)

Fine Bros have basically made themselves the convenient target for everyone's frustrations. Not only has this angered people with it's dangerous possibilities, but it's also attracted the attention of those pissed off about shady copyright exploits on YT as well. So in essence, 2 dams broke and Fine Bros are stuck in the middle of it. Out of proportion or not, they kinda deserve what they're getting as it was their conscious actions that have led them to this point.

Edit: Ninja Jeb Ninja'd me. :x

  9. I just found out a friend died today. I didn't want to believe it and even HOPED I was just being pranked. But nope, the obituary confirms it.

3 days ago. Last I talked to him. Everything was fine. Now he's just gone. Just like that.

Fuck everything, I'm out for the day.

  10. Yeah, after seeing that, it is the EXACT STUPIDITY I WAS TALKING ABOUT. Random things being taken down by copyright strikes that they have no proof are at all related. Just like they were a week ago, a month ago, a year ago and a decade ago. I fucking give up.
This is the best reference I've seen on what thefinebros are doing. This was written up by a copyright law attorney:

The short line is they're lying in their videos. Their actions indicate that they are doing takedowns of people and it's confirmed they're trying to trademark the word "react", I think you might have been misinformed as to what the reality is. You can't always believe what people are saying, that goes triple for large organizations. Hell, this is why I encourage people to fact-check me for anything I say in Game Dungeon or other videos, in case I make a mistake.

I find this whole situation kind of amazing. It would be like if I tried to trademark "Mind" and did copyright takedowns of Barney's Mind, Shephard's Mind, etc., despite Freeman's Mind being derivative of stuff like MST3K.

    EDIT:

Nevermind, rarity posted the exact same link and I didn't notice. That's the best starting point to look at if you think they're doing nothing wrong.

You set it up better since I really just left a link floating with no real context.

But yeah, the more I look into this, the more mindblowing it is. These guys are really full of themselves. O_o I'm also pretty stunned at the feedback on this. A lawyer's even offering Pro Bono services to those affected by the Fine Bros. copyright abuse even.

  11. Reaction videos are the scum of the fucking earth, and get rightly treated like it. They're freebooting off of other people's videos in order to get a share of the original video's views without having to do anything for it. Look at that cunt Jinx, for one great example. They get hit with copyright strikes ALL THE TIME, because they FUCKING DESERVE IT, and the only reason Finebros' videos don't get taken down as often is because they at least make sure to get permission from the original creators first.

This has been an exhausted subject covered by many youtubers and law professionals alike, all boiling down to "Fair Use". Whether or not it's "scum of the earth" is irrelevant since at it's core, and as long as they don't just sit there doing nothing and actually provide some commentary or insight, then it's transformative of the original work therefore legal under the pretense of fair use.

That does NOT mean Finebros is responsible for other people's "reactions" being taken down, they aren't the ones doing it. Finebros is just the newest scapegoat. Before this, it was Jacksfilms.

And yet there's people exposing cases of copyright claims on their video's by their company where the only similarity is the word "react" in the title.

(name misleading and sarcastic. Video may be a bit as well.)

THEY ARE ALWAYS BEING FUCKING TAKEN DOWN, they're ALREADY copyright infringement on the ORIGINAL videos. There isn't anything different new, people are just scapegoating the Finebros when they got caught fucking freebooting off of the videos they're "reacting" to.

Most cases of copyright claim on reaction video's never fall through when the channel in question is large enough to challenge it. A lot of times it's the result of either system abuse or report spamming(the latter less of the case in this one)

    You people are unhelpable.

If you really want people to consider your side, this is far from how to do it. Let's not forget that I AM trying to look at both sides of the argument here and the more I look the less I like.

That being said, IHE comes out with yet another video that sums up a how i feel on this as a whole.

    Edit:

    Top post is interesting

  12. YN-vhZoO7wM

This guy has a rather interesting perspective on it, considering both sides of the issue. I'm frankly a little scared of this idea myself as well because of the wording they use. I still feel AlphaOmegaSin raises stronger points, super passionate rant aside.

Though, admittedly, I can't get over how the Fine Bro on the left(lol) looks like My old Senior Thesis instructor crossed with Steve Buscemi.

  13. Scum of the Steam community presented as a quote from them:

"Why would you give it a negative review?! it's in early access!" slightly altered to censor out homophobic and racist remarks every other words.

So let's answer that: Because early access is 0% valid for excusing a lack of content. If the game in it's current state lacks sufficient content then it lacks sufficient content. If someone feels there isn't enough in the game as of the now is entirely their opinion and 100% valid. Demanding that people never give a negative review for lack of content on the shaky promise of future content is what one would call a gamble and a gamble is usually never a positive thing. If in the future they add a ton of content, the review will become obsolete unless updated. And even then, there's still no place for the early access excuse.

The simple summary of what I'm trying to get at: if you're going to reply with "fuck off, it's early access" then I kindly request you "fuck off" first, because your comment is far less valid.

I gotta stop letting such petty things fester. :x
