I'm gonna keep it short and omit a lot of details for fear of giving away too much that the person figures out who I am, but years ago I had a toxic online friendship so bad I still have trust issues to this day. My low self-esteem back then and fear of losing a "friend" did nothing to help matters. I tried to silently break off from the friendship since I was too afraid of backlash from them but they kept SOMEHOW tracking me down and sending very strongly worded, guilt-trip messages every time they did. Years ago (I won't say how many) I had to break off any and all ties to my former persona and, well, disappear. New email, new username, never visited the old sites I went to. Literally every tie I had to them had been dropped and forgotten. I lost contact with a lot of people I liked because our one mutual friend was so bad my mental health was suffering and I couldn't take it any longer, and I couldn't risk that person finding out through them.

I'm still affected by that. I'm afraid to even get close to new people so any friends I do have are people I trust greatly. I hold no sorrow for what I had to do though. It was either that or resort to... darker thoughts. Thoughts I'm now ashamed I once considered.

Trying to decide if I want to grab the Dead Island bundle...

It's $4.50 right now for Dead Island 1 and Riptide + 2 DLC which is probably the cheapest it's ever gonna get. But at the same time I wonder if I'd even really play it much.

I WAS gonna have a nice breakfast-for-dinner spread but all the sausage went bad. Opened up the packages and got a strong whiff of sulfur. Even more frustrating in that we freeze them when we buy them to make them last longer and the use by date isn't set for another full month. Meaning they were probably bad when we got them >

You should see me down a Ghost Pepper... Increased tear production for the first one, but after a minute or so, it settles to a normal level and I can eat them like crazy.

I hope you don't do that often. Those things do hell on your stomach lining. Increases chance of ulcers. Though I have heard that peppers weirdly decrease chance of gastric cancer.

Everything in moderation I guess.

But I still wonder.

Well it was also through my old school's recommendation so that may have also helped me jump the line a bit. May not be the finest job I could have gotten (it's essentially inventory at the convention store) but it's like $500 for 4 days so I may as well. Beats sitting around the house all day.

I figure it won't be too hard to get since an interview process is more about seeing what an applicant can bring to a job and gauging them as a person, and since this is basically inventory I think it's more about gauging me. As long as I just come off as a decent and confident person I should be good.

And yet I'm STILL nervous. Bleh.

This discussion has been drifting further and further from civil with each post. I don't like the prospect of having to close it on these grounds so I suggest everyone bring it down a few notches.

There has also been a lot of "trust me on this" style arguments and I'm gonna be honest, those are not helpful. Neither to the topic at hand nor the attitudes of those who disagree with the argument. It's causing a snowball effect.

I just had the shit temporarily scared out of me.

So to shorten a long story, I got the interview for the Blizzcon job (I go down monday) and the last thing the email said was "don't forget you I-9 documents!" and my first reaction was short of panic(Anxiety at it's finest) "WTF is an I-9 document and how the hell am I supposed to get it before Monday? Do I have to get it from the government? Can I do it that fast? Nothing official is ever fas- passport, ID or SSN. Oh."

I feel kinda dumb...

As far as rules goes, the main thing is: "Don't be a jerk". Just because somebody is saying something you don't agree with, doesn't make it ban worthy. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Nobody is forcing you to respond, nobody is forcing their views onto you. As long as I don't see name calling, insulting, or degradation, it's fine.

This board has always been a more open ground for beliefs and discussions, with a lot of leniency to varying opinions and stances. Conspiracy theories, while often based on 'evidences' that cannot be definitively proved at the current time, are still a belief (while not strictly religious or political in nature, a belief none-the-less)and not one I think we should be policing.

You are not required to believe any conspiracy just because it's been stated nor are you required to participate in the discussion of one. People seem to forget that neither the amount a topic has been discussed, nor how adamant the topic starter seems to be on the matter tie into the truth of the topic in any way.

And I would like to point out clearly: Being a jerk to anyone who happens to believe a conspiracy IS in violation of the rules and WILL be dealt with.

Guitar expert. In no way a glorious score but I take pride in the simple fact that I beat this with a keyboard and not the controller. This song is insane with keys.

Also I keep occasionally trying nightmare night on keys and I always land just short of my last score. XD I can do the solo's well now but I can't keep my combo going long enough to take full advantage of the 4X multiplier.

If only I knew what the star power button was. (don't even think there is one.)

Kinda nervous. Just submitted the job application required by the blizzcon recruiter and all that's left is the interview/hiring paperwork. I really hope I get this. It's not a fixed position but it gives me a nice sum of spending money while I look for something more permanent. (I can make 500 go a long way)

I appreciate your enthusiasm but in the future can you please refrain from putting another users personal information and social life status up on the forums such as their name and friendship/relationship problems? If they put it up themselves willingly that's fine but if they said you could then you should specify that in the post.

One thing I would like to do would be vanilla duels. If anyone was interested it'd basically be a 1v1 with vanilla loadouts only. Could be fun and is a nice even playing field (at least as even as it gets)
