Working on my coding. Trying to set up footstep sounds in a game based on material standing on and to not have it play the same sound twice in a row. I got it working for Unity terrain but it doesn't work on meshes. That comes next.

I also need to have it change play speed depending on player speed. That comes later.

 

Fun fact: I did a similar thing with FF9, naming Steiner 'Rusty'. When I got towards the end, I thought that Zidane stopped actually calling him that a long time ago, but no, on a later playthrough, I realized Zidane, even towards the end, still calls Steiner by his nickname 'Rusty'.

Watching Steven Universe. Classifying this as a kids show doesn't feel right. Like it's got moments obviously designed to entertain children but it get's really deep at times and some of that humor would fly way over a kids head.

My mountain dwelling is almost complete. I have the most important carved out and even filled in with Andesite and Granite.

It took so much Andesite that I had to cut a hole in my bedroom to get at another deposit behind the wall just to get enough. Fortunately there's enough in that mountain for the house so no one needs to worry about me taking it all from elsewhere.

If someone says the studies are biased or flat out lying without providing proof then it's time to end the argument with them. Because at that point it's not an argument, it's them throwing a fit and if my 2 year old cousin taught me anything is that fits aren't based off logic. I very much enjoy when people link their evidence and sources for the same reason I enjoy learning things.

I'm currently carving out a mountain house in Knapford. This project is probably gonna take a few days to finish so if you see it unfinished I'll be coming back to it.

When I do log in, if you ever see me laying down a long line of stone blocks to surround a large area, that's probably part of my long term project of building small villages. I've even made a setup once that allows for a large iron block gate that opens and closes with a lever during the day and automatically closes during night and stays shut until morning. It probably won't need that second function if the server is gonna be mostly daytime though.

Glad to hear it's also gonna be vanilla. I've tried some of the more popular servers and just didn't like how it was basically everything under the sun modded into the game. One server even wanted me to give them hours in which I would be logging in every day so I can fill a job. -.-

So I got talked into trying Rift by some friends. The first thing I noticed was it's basically World of Warcraft without the monthly fee. Like 10 minutes of customizing later and my control setup and action bars are exactly the same as WoW before I left that.
