  1. You reminded me of Firefly... I've heard Nathan Fillion is saving up a load of money to reboot the series.

Better be able to pull all those same actors back...

Hope so, don't know about Summer Glau though, she doesn't seem like she'd go back to that show for some reason.

  2. I have a very liberal attitude towards it. I don't think it's wrong trying a game before buying it.

As long as you actually buy it afterwards, I'm pretty sure that people wouldn't risk infecting the hell out of their machines just for a demo.

  3. And in the latest of the four Portal 2 videos, this time it's all about trust.

Saw that on GI, I NEED MOAR.

BTW Portal 2 is soooooooooooo close to the release date, Valve better not change the release date again.

  4. People were ragin' on expanding the storyline with Broken Steel but I loved not having to reload my game everytime I did the ending sequence of it. The Pitt was my other fave tho

Yeah, The Pitt is also a fav of mine. It has a great storyline.

I just needed it to be a bit longer. I also wanted to spend a lot more time without weapons and stimpaks so I could feel like I had to scavenge and steal just to survive.

  5. Yeah, illegally download it and steal money from a publisher that has worked for years to create this game.

At least he is interested in trying it. If they won't release a demo of the game than torrent is the only free way you can actually try games these days.

Except if he doesn't like it... He's stealing money from the company. I'd prefer to read some reviews and watch some videos before possibly wasting money on a game as opposed to stealing money from the developers and essentialy the employees that worked their ass's off to make this game. It's people like BTG that have driven the game developers away from PC and towards developing for consoles.

  6. Forgive me if this point has already been covered:

Creationism is not, and never can be, science. Creationism is not, and can never be, a Theory. Creationism does not even qualigy as a hypothesis. All these things require the evaluation of observable phenomena. Creationism, postulating as it does the existence of a Creator which CANNOT be observed, measured, or studied in any way, cannot possess this quality.

Therefore it should in no way be taught in a class dealing with science. It is better left in a class about comparative religion, where it can be compared and contrasted with the belief that Raven crapped out the Earth (Native American), or that Gods dredged up the land from beneath the sea, (Maori) that a great Cow licked the first man out of the ice (Norse) or that the Great Green Arklesiezure sneezed out the universe during a bout of hay fever (42), all of which beliefs have equal evidence in support of them, that is: NONE.

Creationism simply states that life on earth was not a result of a random chemical process that eventually mutated into humans, but a result of intelligent design. (someone or something designed us in a specific way)

This idea is arrived at through basic statistical logic. (a class you can probly take in college if you ever get there) in that it is so extremely unlikely for that particular chemical reaction to occur that the likeliehood of some external intelligence becomes more likely.. (they just don't bother to theorize how specifically it was done, since there is no way to find that through logic currently)

It is just as valid a theory as evolution, because it is based on science as much or more so than evolution. Simply different logical paths taken, neither less valid than the other, neither proven enough that they should be taught in schools as facts. (this is about what is taught in schools, not what you personally believe... I hope the mods will start helping me get this back on the topic it's supposed to be)

Implying Creationism has anywhere near as much scientific merit as evolution... AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH

  7. I used to have a nightmare as a child ( 5 or 6 I believe ). I used to have them at least once a week for about a year.

It starts off and I'm underneath my covers with my blanket pulled up tight around me, then as I go to lift up my cupboards a witch pokes her head down the blankets and grabs me. She starts pulling me towards my wardrobe and I start screaming for my parents, the door opens and light streams into the room, the witch is gone and I ask if I can come with them because there is a witch in my room.

They say " don't be silly " and close the door, suddenly the witch reappears, cackles and keeps dragging me towards the cupboard.

That's when I wake up screaming and my mum runs into the room. The whole thing started because of this picture I drew on paint.

  8. in this list u may find some games u never heared about:

    1. Empire Earth Art of Conquest (in my opinion, the best RTS game EVER, better that starcraft.)

    2. Battle Grounds 2 2.0 (the single best Revolutionary war game / mod EVER)

    3. Team Fortress 2 (its obvious why.)

    4. Counter Strike 1.5 (because it was after the famas and galil, but before the fucking riot shield)

    5. Half Life series (obviously)

    6. Garrys mod (no top 10 games list is complete without it)

    7. Fortress Forever (imagine it as Team Fortress Classic Source)

    8. GTA San Andreas (the single best sandbox game EVER (after GMOD, of course))

    9. Warcraft 3 and expansions (has the best map/campaign editor i have ever seen)

    10. Age of empires series (because it made me a gamer!)

Hell yeah, AOE was my first PC game. I loved that thing to bits as a kid, most of my time was spent making one-sided battles in the map creator... Good times.

  9. I personally have seen the gameplay trailer and read a lot about the game. I am impressed by the features they are implementing. It's just the setting that doesn't fit my taste. I'm sure you understand.

Same, and it's those features that pique my interest enough to download it... (kinda like the "Free Man's Staff" of DA2, game sucks IMO)

Yeah, illegally download it and steal money from a publisher that has worked for years to create this game.

  11. I also just heard Cee Lo Green's new song "Fuck You" and it's pretty good. I'm normally against any mainstream bullshit that the media endorses constantly, but I really like this song.

NAUGHTY WORDDDSS, GET A MOD ON TEH SCENE

  12. 1. Team Ico

Perfect Games every time, albeit with only two under their belt.

    2. Valve

Perfect games almost every time. I never thought much of the L4D series.

    3. Double Fine

Very original games, if on a hit or miss basis (Hit = Psychonauts ; Miss = Brutal Legend)

    4. Rockstar Games

Very very well made, if formulaic games. I love RDR, Bully, ect. but never thought much of GTA, and am glad they're moving away from the GTA based image.

    5. Insomniac Games

I loved the Spyro and Ratchet games (minus Deadlocked) The Resisistance games on the other hand seem like bland shooters. (I only can speak for the first game though)

2 games? *Cough* Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom *cough* and uuuuh.... What do you mean by Brutal Legend being a " miss "

Actually in Maori culuture Maui ( son of a god ) pulled New Zealand out of the Earth when they were fishing. When Maui pulled New Zealand out of the sea his brothers became greedy and began to cut up the fish ( NZ ) without thanking the god of the sea, it therefore became rocky and hard and they couldn't eat it. It then became New Zealand ( or Aoeteroa ). They never spoke of anywhere outside NZ in their myths. Not calling you out or anything just.... sharing teh knowledge I suppose.
