Same here, I don't think it would've worked as a sequel...
I hope they fill in the time between HR and the original Deus Ex. Then maybe a remake of the original. Hopefully Eidos don't do an Invisible War and make the next Deus Ex game a horrible piece of crap.

Haha, that looks exactly like mine. See how it looks like he has a pair of glasses embedded under his skin.
-
Just finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution. THATWASSOGOOD.
Time to play the original, I'm happy this was a prequel.
-
Banned because I'm selling all of my old PS3 games which in turn will destroy the entire game market. I'm a horrible person.
-
A PC game is a PC game, regardless of whether it's a console port or not in my opinion. Deus Ex Human Revolution is an excellent PC title, doesn't mean it's PC exclusive. Hell, you could argue it's the best console port of the previous year.
Yes but you said a good PC title not a good multi-platform title. That's why I got mixed up.
And the best version of Deus Ex was the PC version, better graphics, harder difficulty levels, loads of graphics and gameplay options (AA, FOV etc.). So you could call it a PC first game as the game played the best on PC.

Double post.

STOP! What you're doing is wrong. Why do you do this?
-
Being a PC gamer is not equivalent to only playing PC exclusive titles
I just assumed you meant a PC first game when you said "a good PC title".
Mass Effect 3I'm looking forward to this as well. Hopefully it combines the best of ME1 and ME2 (I think ME1 had the better story and was a proper RPG, whereas ME2 had the better shooting and was a spiritual sequel to "Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters", my favorite old game of all time).
Allow me to have some hope for my favourite anti-hero.I certainly expect to see another Duke announcement by around 2013, hopefully most people would have lost the ill will towards DNF by then, Irrational wouldn't buy the rights to a franchise only to release a flop and be done with it. There's also the Duke 3D remake in the works but I remember hearing about some nonsense going on between them and Irrational now, so there might not be a finished product any time soon.
-
I've actually done on of those but the skin I cloned over the glasses made it look obvious that it was a Photoshop.
-
Yeah but your fave games have all been console ports. :/
Duke, MW3... etc.
-
Why? You want a Version of Minecraft that will most likely not receive any more updates, has no mods and might cost more(this is just a thought not sure at all about this, but it is a possibility). I get the whole Console/PC is a preference thing, but there is simply no reason to get it on Xbox.
well yes there is...I cant get a 1500$ PC like most people...so ill stick with it
$1500 PC to play MC.
My palm went through to the other side of my face.

But there ARE new IP's coming. Just like there were new IP's this year. This year was FULL of sequels, no different from any year in the last decade.
And about his point on the console lifecycle killing games? Absolute rubbish, honestly, the PS2 was still going strong for years into this gen (well last gen really, PCs are so far ahead of consoles it's not even funny). As has every console gen, 3rd party devs that aren't idiots don't make exclusives for a next gen console that hardly anyone will own for a year.
I'm looking forward to a good PC title basically.Well judging by your favourite games of this year I don't really think that's what you'll get the most enjoyment out of.

Also, Gunn's video on Game releases in 2012. He is making a lot more sense(as usual) than I want him to.
UfCi3P5eSKw
What an idiot. He starts off saying "we had some great games this year like MW3, BF3, Skyward Sword and Uncharted 3", then continues with "2012 is going to be bad because it's full of sequels".
WHAT?

sequel to Duke Nukem ForeverBecause critical, financial and PR failures are likely to get sequels announced within the next year.
BORDERLANDS 2!!!!!!! WOOT!!!Couldn't stand Borderlands for some reason, I won't be getting it.
Bioshock: InfiniteI'm looking forward to this game, maybe not a day one but I'll certainly get it sometime this year

I decided to make this thread after reading the RPS post here.
This thread is dedicated to sharing your most anticipated game of 2012. Personally, I'm going to have to go with Dishonored. It has the head designer from Deus Ex and System shock, and the artistic director from Half Life 2... Yes, let me repeat that- it has the head designer from Deus Ex and System shock, and the artistic director from Half Life 2. And from what I've read, the open ended "Deus Ex" (not HR, the original) map design and huge amount of tools at your disposal (body possession, time control etc.) will mean this will be the most innovative title of the year. I can only hope.
Next on my list is Thief 4 (Damn you Eidos, I WILL not call it Thi4f), as it has the team behind Human Revolution working on it, in all seriousness this team is my biggest hope next to Valve and Bethesda for AAA games in a market full of CODs, retard RPGs and WoW clones. As long as it keeps the open maps, enjoyable stealth, good combat and steampunk atmosphere, this will be a day one purchase for me.
I'm also hopeful for more DX: HR DLC and some Skyrim expansions but I currently have a backlog of about 20 games I'm yet to finish.
So what's your most anticipated games of 2012?

Just got up to the Singapore in Deus Ex. Paused the game, started up Missing Link. B)

I don't know if it's worth trusting the Toddler on that kind of stuff.
Well, we'll find out sometime this month won't we.
-
I think he should leave it until the Skyrim CK comes out sometime this month. Sure there may not as much custom content yet but Oblivion is very ugly now, worse than HL2 in my opinion.
With Skyrim there's dynamic lighting, better character models, better textures and a thriving modding community. Along with a more in-depth CK if Todd Howard isn't lying.
-edit- Also, Skyrim has a lot of animal models. In Oblivion you won't find pigs, fish, dogs etc. And there are loads of animations for non combat stuff like mining, cooking, farming, smithing etc.

I can decide whether to laugh or cry. Here in Wisconsin its Winter 6 months of the year. There are days where we have to shovel the sidewalk 3 times because theres practically a new coat of snow by the time we finish, and last year there were still bits of snow on the ground in May. On the other hand, every year I make a wicked awesome snow sculpture with my Dad, and we walk (literally) on the river when it freezes over.
I've been all over the world, but always in the Summer. e_o

Remember when we were at war with Eurasia Eastasia Eurasia?
I see what you did thar.

I could say first-past-the-post democracy leads to Dictatorship. I even have an example, but just because there's a possibility that it could happen doesn't mean it will. If a laissez-faire government enforces the law as it should then corporations holding control over human rights is impossible.
-
Can't really drive anywhere because of all the snow. well, not anywhere where i could safely drive over 20mph the whole way there...
also i'm eating a hot pocket.
Lucky you, I haven't had a single snowflake here.
I haven't seen a single snowflake in my life.
-
But then it's not a laissez-faire government.
