Psychotic Ninja

First of all Pinkie was amazingly funny with the spy outfit, the Fluttershy disguise, the gravity defyingness in the library, and the stilts at the end. As for Applejack lying, they were white lies so that's forgiven. I liked the three songs, even though two of them were already given to us, a no no imo. Now for the villain of this two parter, King Sombra seems to be one of your generic "I'm going to take over X and then... THE WORLD!" villains, and he is. That's not to say the others weren't. IIRC Nightmare Moon was actually shown doing something once, and that's at the end of the first episode, bringing eternal night. N.M. had little to no personality, and little to no character development. Princess Luna on the other hand.... Now I'm not saying the first two parter wasn't exciting, it was. As for Discord, he too had little to no personality and character development. All he did was turn the world into one big mindfuck and turned the mane six against each other. Once again this two parter was exciting. Finally there's the season two finale with Queen Chrysalis, like the others she had little to no development and personality, she on the other hand was the most evil of the four (imo). As for this one, it was exciting, just not as exciting as the other two parters.

tl;dr version: I liked King Sombra/this two-parter, although he wasn't as exciting as the others, at the same time he wasn't a whole lot different from the others.
