Try making sure the image is in a supported format (JPG, GIF or PNG) and maximum 110x110 pixels resolution. Yup, same here. No idea why.

7/10 Would look nicer without the white around it, and the left foot seems to be slightly outside the frame which bothers me...

Yeah, YouTube is just getting worse and worse both for its users and creators. It's disheartening to see them literally take away people's money that they have worked hard for with the greedy content ID system. Makes me sick. But again, the internet is a thing in constant change and evolution. Where YouTube might get less popular, new sites may spring up that offer better alternatives. I remain positive on the future cause the future is always unknown.
