  1. I haven't liked his character since the Dreamcast. His games just don't appeal anymore to me. He and his supporting cast all feel really 90s in a bad way, especially when they try to be "edgy" with stunts like Shadow and that "were-hog" ridiculousness. Just make a new 2D platformer with no story to speak of beyond Dr. Robotnik (eggman, seriously?) bad, go stop him by collecting rings!

Colors was the best one in a long time. The strive to be light-hearted, ironically, made it come out more mature and genuine.

Also, get the fuck over the man's name.

    Hey, chill a bit. ;)

That's actually why I like the Sonic games. I wouldn't want Sonic games to be like Mario games, which is pretty much what you are asking for. Then I feel Sonic would stagnate quicker than a bowl of syrup. The reason I prefer Sonic over Mario is because Sonic's games are still interesting while Mario is just rehashing everything over and over without adding anything significant. Don't get me wrong, Mario games are fun and all but they just don't feel fresh anymore.

  3. Lost a loved one? 3 of my great-grandparents and both my mother's parents. The thing is, I've never had a problem with death. If someone close to me dies after being hospitalized several times and they are of old age, I let it go easily. I will be somber, but my family has always treated death as a glass half full experience. It was their time to go and eventually it will be my turn and that's just how things work. They had a good life and they aren't suffering any longer. There will be some sadness, but you will quickly get over it. Every once in a while, I get hit with one of those feelings that says "Man, I sure miss how great-grandma always did this" etc, but it's a quick fleeting pain that is quickly overwhelmed with happier ways of remembering than missing.

Death is a natural part of life. There is no point in dwelling by it. Just accept it and let the dead ones live on through memories.
