For quite a while now, my user reputation screen has only showed a couple entries (seven entries at current view) but, when I go to other users' reputation screen, I see 30 or 40 entries (if they have enough + or - rep to have that many entries).

 

Why are most of my user rep entries hidden or absent?

This is quite likely due to the fact that when the reputation system first was implemented, people didn't have to give a reason and we didn't have any way to moderate or check rep points. This was also the time when BTG got his -200 rep points.

Anyway, after we implemented it, people had to give a reason, and it would show on the profile. Most likely you have received a lot of points before this was implemented so only your most recent rep points are showing on your profile.

The Combine Overwiki is not run by Valve. I don't think there's any in-universe evidence for them being a special forces branch of the Marines. True, it lists as such in Opposing Force, but OF was not made by Valve.

Valve has never stated what is canon so technically it doesn't really matter if OF wasn't made by Valve. And would Valve publish the expansions if they weren't okay with the content or wanted the content to go with HL1? If Valve didn't want the expansions to count as canon they could easily remove them from Steam or not publish them at all.

What's even more fun is that DNF DID come out before HL3.

I might look into using Waterfox then.
