  1. Why pony fans are the ones complaining the most? :P Would you like if Ross was changing his REAL name and avatar to some random ones every few weeks? hah! That would be fun!

Nickname is like your brand it's good to stick with one, well designed :P

    Yeah, agreed.

  2. What Kirk said.

But I think maybe we should be able to have our names changed back to the way they were. Like Psychotic Ninja said, I don't like the idea of being a pony forever. (unless it's physical and I was born that way.)

Edit: Okay, I'm just gonna say it.

I'd like it if everyone's name was changed back to the way it was upon joining. (unless it was a name fix)

That's why we decided to give you a week's grace period so you can request a name change in case you don't wanna lock in with your current username.

  3. Yes but what if someone joins this forom after the names are locked and are new to this kind of thing, there names might be a little silly, or odd, or just not right. Would you doom them to there fate?

Their choice, they should stand for it.

  4. I think you are missing the point here. The point is that we don't want username changes at all. It is not because it is an inconvenience to admins, but rather that it only causes confusion. We've had several complaints about people not knowing who is who anymore.

Why not make it that you need to keep a name for at lest 6 months befor you can change it agen.

We figured it would be easier to just let users pick a name and stick with it. I don't see the point in having more than one nick. This is a forum, not an instant messenger where you can change your nick every other day. I think it is very important to make the difference.
