  1. Eh, I didn't consider MW3 to cost that much to begin with, especially when you get all the spec op missions and multiplayer modes in addition to the sp campaign. I think you already got a lot of value for your cash.

And knowing how Steam works, there's bound to be DLC bundles where you can save a few bucks.

  2. Decided against the Cinematic Mod. The installer files itself are 10GB and then it wants another 10GB, not gonna happen. However I still want to play through HL2 again, so I do it vanilla.

I think these mods are unnecessary. The vanilla game still looks awesome imo.

  3. It's not that I don't like it, it's that I felt the game was forcing it on me. Everything felt forced and contrived, and most of the time, I didn't feel scared, just annoyed. It wasn't the fact I didn't have any weapon or the fact that I would have to run away from enemies, that was fine with me. What annoyed me was that the protagonist acted like that and felt like a complete coward to me. I lost all respect for him. Also, the game's reliance on light was also a huge mistake to me because there wasn't nearly enough tinder or light sources to remedy this and I felt forced to more or less hold back on them but that would just make my character go fucking batshit insane so I HAD to use up all my light just to keep him from grinding his teeth and cowering in fear of the dark. Goddamnit...

While I'll admit that the game is different and a less action'y take on horror, it's annoying as hell.

  4. It's very refreshing to hear these perspectives, in my opinion. :D

Doom- Where do I start. No free-aim, no jumping, monsters that are indistinguishable from the background, bad game mechanics, no premise, textures where each pixel is easily visible, bad gunplay and the fact that every other arcade FPS does it better. Doom is nothing more than a museum piece in my opinion.

What do you expect, the game is from 1993. I think that's a bit of an unfair criticism in that regard.

  5. Yeah, different strokes for different people. I really enjoy MW3 at least, but it's pretty much the only CoD game I've really played. But I agree it's really overrated and hyped to hell, that's for sure. Aside from the multiplayer in MW3, I don't feel there's any other reason to play it, there's really not much depth to it when compared to games like Deus Ex.
