I'm not sure what game you're playing but BF3 is far more polished than MW3. And if you include the Back To Karkand DLC then it has way more variety as well. :/

Yeah, I prefer CoD because it lets me be more of a lone wolf, but also gives the option to play for the team.

As I said, I haven't played BF3 so I can't honestly speak for it. I do enjoy MW3 a heck of a lot though and I play it most of the day. From what I understand though, BF3 is more tactical. And I never meant to say that BF3 wasn't as or even more polished than MW3, because I'm sure both games have solid engines.

I see AoE more as real time strategy than a civilization building game. At least that was how it felt to me.

Alright, let's settle this once and for all. All fanboys and fangirls, unite to vote for which game YOU think is the best, whether you like the variety and polish of MW3 or the unique tactical matches in BF3!

Personally, I haven't even played BF3 since I'm really not that much into tactical games as I prefer just running and gunning down opponents, which is why I went with MW3 since it offers more modes like that.

Please refrain from flaming in this thread. Keep in mind that both of these games have their pros and cons and in the end it boils down to what you prefer.

If you have the original Quake CD you can rip the music to OGG files and play it from the hdd.

Quake, well not really. I generally don't complain about graphics in older games but in this case I have to. The resolution is just bad to the point that I can't read text and can hardly make out anything in the environment. That and the colors occasionally screw up. And when trying to change the resolution the colors screw up even more and go apeshit on me. Is there like patch or mod to make the game more playable?

I recommend using DarkPlaces, it's probably my favourite alternative Quake engine.
