  1. My first game was Wizard of Wor on the commodore 64. That game was simple and quite enjoyable. By the way I still have my c64 (unfortunately the power supply isn't working though it's a triangle-ish shaped one and everything seems fine) and got the disk drive, joysticks, final cartridge, action replay mk7, printer, and many-many games on the foldable disks. My other favourite c64 games were Beach head 2, Creatures, Boulder dash, Impossible Mission, Bruce Lee.

The C64 had the best sound chip of the 8bit era imo.

  2. You know, I think you just proved why you have such a low reputation.

I can understand if a post makes you angry but this is not a mature way to start a counter-response.

Reputation points are entirely meaningless any way, for the simple reason that people can award them for any possible reason or occasion their wild imagination can think up. The only reason you have this many reputation points is because you have built up a hype momentum where people are more prone to giving you reputation for the most pointless of posts exactly because of your high number of reputation visible in your profile box as well as your gargantuan post rate. Just look at your reputation history, you are getting rep for stating a song in a boring "what are you listening to thread" or random one-line agreements. If I had this luxury I would have passed 100 reputation by now.

The reputation system is fun for entertainment reasons but judging a person by it in any more detail than the minus sign would be short-sighted. Attack Michael's statements and arguments, not his reputation points on an internet forum. If you get angry or upset in any other way, walk away from the computer for some time and cool off. Make a sandwich or cup of tea, read a book, just something that gives you time to digest what you read earlier.

You are correct of course, and I sincerely apologize for that remark.

  3. Jesus Christ Superstar:

Terrible, terrible movie. The fact that all the clothes seemed weirdly out of place broke my suspension of disbelief. I didn't like how they're all clearly actors reenacting the gospels. I'm serious; it's not that they're bad actors, it's that the movie begins with all of them getting out of a bus and putting on costumes. The market Jesus walks through was too contemporary--some of the merchants were even selling machine guns. Judas running away from the tanks was the last straw.

Music was...ok. While it will never be as good as Les Misérables or Wicked, I have to admit there were some catchy tunes. "The Last Supper" and "Superstar" were my favorites.

I would say Monty Python's Life of Brian is a much better movie in that sense.

  4. To be honest, I think Michael is being cynical and cold with that statement.

But I won't start any flame war here or insult him in any way. My point is that people aren't just physical beings. He has a point about gender being a physical thing but it's really a lot more complicated than that and gender can be a very abstract thing to some people, especially those who feel they have been born into the wrong body. I don't expect him to understand that, since he clearly has proven his inability to do so.
