  1. I completely agree. And that vid was hilarious!
  2. I actually don't really have enough space for physical copies so I get digital when I can.
  3. Can't say I do, but the older ones on the forums probably do.
  4. Yeah we do, i just linked it. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=698 Right you are! Forgive my lack of memory! XD Topics merged.
  5. It pretty much is. It's one of those games you can really get lost in and I think with all the sidequests, you can spend 20 days on it or something before it's completed.
  6. We've never had a thread about it, but we have discussed it in other threads. Some of my earliest gaming memories are Wolfenstein 3D, Duke Nukum with a u (the EGA sidescroller one) and BlackThorne (called BlackHawk in Europe for some odd reason). I also remember playing car racers like Grand Prix Circuit and Stunt Racer. Can't really think of anything before that to be honest. I do remember playing a sidescroller with some kind of cat creature and lots of stuff going on but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. It's most likely an obscure platformer.
  7. I agree with Kirk. It's a very stable system, and the incompability is not that high.
  8. Topic retitled, feel free to discuss your favourite club here or anything football related.
  9. Got Borderlands GOTY for about 7€ during the weekend sale.
  10. For me it was the polar opposite. I kept coming back to it until I was done with it. And even then I still felt like playing it over again.
  11. Black magic. Don't you know that all MLP fans are cultists? ;P
  12. I won't deny that I've always played Duke Nukem games simply because they have Duke Nukem in them, but maybe the issue is that in general I'm not much of a critic. The only game I've really hated is Dreamfall, the sequel to The Longest Journey. Otherwise I pretty much never complain about anything in games.
  13. All I'm saying is that the 2-weapon mechanic in Duke Nukem Forever never ruined the fun for me personally and I simply don't understand why everyone picks on it for that. You have easy access to most of the game's weapons and during boss battles you have easy access to both ammunition and powerful weapons. It's never a problem, so why do people make it one? I understand where they are coming from but I just think they are being narrow-minded.
  14. I have not played halo 1 My earliest gaming memory was spyro. From there it got more and more violent with games. When I said "2 weapons really at a time really ?" I was talking about duke nukem forever. Its not like its just single player. there is a 16 player coop mode. a survival mode. and all the other versus type modes. So it should probably be full price. Also serious Sam 3 will have melee attacks, new guns and old,new enemies and old, huge bosses and finally aiming down the sights of some weapons. You're still probably one of the youngest members on the forum if your earliest gaming memory is Spyro (mine's Duke Nukem 1 on PC). And I didn't really mind the 2 weapon mechanic in Duke Nukem Forever. They sort of added a 4 weapon inventory anyway on the PC so I'm not complaining. It adds a bit of realism to the character and makes the game more strategic in a way. It never made sense to me that a character should go around with 10 weapons on his body. it would look ridicilous and impossible. But Duke can probably carry two guns in his backpack or something at a time. But yeah, anyway, I rarely spend my time nitpicking on a game because of stuff like that, I just play it and take it as a whole experience. And as a whole, Duke Nukem Forever is actually really good if you take into consideration the variety of levels, the inventive fun of fighting as micro-Duke, and using weapons that frankly are completely unique. I honestly don't get why people love to hate on Duke Nukem Forever. It's not like the 2 weapon thing is unique to that game either. Why wasn't it a problem in Halo or Call of Duty? Why is it such a problem in Duke? The game is still a ton of fun for me.
  15. I think the only reason people bought the PS2 was because it combined a game system with a DVD player so people had this sense of saving money on it. Otherwise, it's not a bad system but I can't really think of any good games for it that weren't also on PC with much better controls. And often the ones people mention, like God of War, aren't games I've ever had any relationship to. I mean, where did Wipeout, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro go? After the PS1 they all sort of vanished or started sucking... The biggest reason people bought the PS2 was Grand Theft Auto but even those games also got released on PC anyway and were much more modable on the PC.
  16. Banned for changing signature game. Seriously though, what version is that? Looks kinda C64'ish.
  17. Videodrome 5/5 The best psychological thriller ever made, and certainly one of the most thought provoking. Even today the effects look amazing and realistic as hell, even if the movie is kind of a mind trip. I consider it Cronenberg's Blade Runner, in the sense it's his diretorial masterpiece just like BR was Ridley Scott's masterpiece.
  18. You're starting to become somewhat the master of derailing threads, Username. Not sure I approve. But since this is a general chat, I'll let you slide.
  19. Virtual Machine is free for personal non-commercial use but it still works like a real machine and you still need a key for the OS you install on it. In theory you could run Windows 7 inside a virtual machine in Windows Vista, but as have been stated, it would be pretty useless since Windows 7 is newer and the best thing would be to install it on your real machine, period, and maybe run Vista or XP in a virtual machine if you have problems running older software.
  20. I think custom designs are always the best tattoos because they are totally unique in that sense. If I ever got a tattoo, it would be my own design and it would certainly be something that had a lot of symbolic meaning to me.
  21. Just finished playing some Deus Ex HR. Going to bed. Good night, everybody!
  22. I agree with BTF. It could do better as a budget title.
  23. It's hard to explain, but basically with a virtual machine you can run XP at the same time as Windows 7 as two separate systems, but with Windows 7 acting as a host system. It's complicated.
