  1. Games in of themselves are not art, but there is art in games. It's always important to remember that games are not made solely to show off artwork and graphics, but also to use that art in order to pull the player into the game, so in the end, games are just a form of interactive entertainment, and the art is means to an end, not the end itself.

Games are a platform for art, such as music and visual art, but games will never be art.

To me personally, it's a hobby, something to pass the time.

  2. Personally I'll never forget Duke Nukem Forever. It's the best game I've played this year and I don't think either Deus Ex HR or Serious Sam 3 can be better in the same way. Serious Sam is a ripoff of Duke and Deus Ex HR is in a class of its own and not even comparable as it's more serious and stealthy.

  3. I'm excited for The Darkness II, I've always said The Darkness has the best story in a video game ever and D2 is in the hands of Digital Extremes, who made Unreal.

EDIT: Nevermind, it has Nolan North and cel-shading. God must hate me.

What's wrong with either of those? A good game never depends solely on the graphics or voice talent.

  4. ported this topic from my clan's forums... just keep it serious... no rick rolls or trolololol.

Basshunter - All i ever wanted:

    Basshunter - DoTA:

    Pendulum - The Other Side

Merged your topic with this one. We don't need more topics than necessary.

  5. well currently listening to Apoptygma Berzerk -fade to black...its not too bad. if you know about bob seger; im listening to turn the page after that^. by the way if "apoptygma" is Norwegian, what does it translate too?

Apoptygma is actually a Greek word. I think Stephan (the front man and vocalist) just picked it at random from a dictionairy because it sounded alien and weird. XD
