I love to see over-the-top violence. Maybe because I grew up with Duke Nukem and Doom.

Yeah, the game is definitely better with expanded weapon inventory. I mean, I don't think there was anything wrong with 2 weapons only but now that I have the option... well... it's just better.

As I said, people can take it any way they want as long as they don't act like jerks about it.

Since I've been playing some DOOM 3 lately, I reiterate what I posted somewhere else: I HATE the damned flashlight/weapon switch system. I just HATE it.

 

Why is the concept of having a small flashlight integrated to every weapon so ludicrous? Why are you making me shoot wildly into the dark, wasting ammo and time?

Three words: Duct tape mod.

I think the main point is that we both had lots of fun with the game, regardless of these flaws. And I think in the end what makes a game great is your individual experience with it.

Well this being the internet, that can be interpreted in many, many, many ways with the avatar you currently have. Just sayin', mang.

People can interpret it any way they want then.

I only felt it made him more human and believable, even with the regen health thing. And it just calls for a different playing style than in previous games. How that is a bad thing is beyond me. No real person would walk around with 10 guns on them. That would look impossible when you think about it.

Duke is not a god, he's an action hero. No action hero walks around with 10 guns on them. We have to get past that assumption that an oldschool shooter needs to have that weapon system. DNF is by no means a realistic game but the 2 weapon limit adds a lot of welcome change to the gameplay. If you hate it, play Duke 3D instead.

To me, these new DLC and patches are not fixing the game, just adapting it to the fans' general taste. The game is not broken just because it's different.

I'm not into conspiracy theories, but how the hell does someone kill that many people with an M16? It holds thirty bullets, if I'm not mistaken.

 

The guy was an extremist who fought against what he saw as "turning Europe into Arabia". He was very anti-Muslim and saw his killing spree as a crusade.

 

And now I and a lot of people who share similar views are now subject to the Guilt by Association fallacy for having well-reasoned and legitimate arguments against Islam and its adherents.

 

Still, there are a lot of questions that need to be asked e.g. why did he attack Christian children and not Muslim children?

Because in his eyes they were traitors for not fighting the muslims. Anyone who did not support him were traitors and deserved to die according to him.
