Strange, I thought 1280x720 and 1920x1080 was the new HD standard.

I used to have a DOS version ripoff of that game... Mouse control was harder than the super scope control. I know, been playing it a bit in ZSNES. I've beat it on Hard on the real thing though.

Possibly, but I prided myself on keeping up with the consoles until the Xbox. Yeah, same here pretty much. After that I lost interest to be honest, though the Wii is pretty fun to play on, even if I prefer PC. Now that I think of it, X-Zone is a game that I hear nobody discussing. Maybe because it was made for the Super Scope. I used to play the shit out of it, mostly because of the soundtrack was so good. Here's a little taster:

I don't play with any filters personally, this was just a quick pic from Google... (best I could find, which is discouraging) Ah, that's cool then. I think oldschool games are meant to be pixelated. And Mario deserves some kudos for single-handedly saving the console industry.

I honestly can't think of any really good console games that were overlooked... Good ideas badly implemented, but not good games. Neither can I, but I guess that's because we are both mainly PC gamers.

For some reason I think the smooth filter makes the game look ugly. I prefer using just a TV filter to make it look more oldschool.
