  1. Quake 2: Ground Zero

I prefer Ground Zero over The Reckoning to be honest, but I love both of the expansions.

I love them both. One of The Reckoning's strong points for me are the Ion Ripper and the Phalanx, I find these guns seriously badass.

And I love that Strogg Freighter level with all the Phalanx Gladiators walking around. Those guys are the only enemy in Quake 2 I take seriously in combat.

Oh yeah, that level sure gave me tons of quickloads...

  2. Hello... My name is Srake. I'm a fictional character that was created to take on the persona that my creator was too scared to. I usually spend my time pretending to work at the Kinetics Industries. Kinetics Industrial , a company that I started with the help of my best friend Terren, is a scientific advancement program that uses items of questionable legality such as Respawn licenses, Soul Soda and video game References. A picture of me can be seen to the left. I spend my time at the Office pretending to work while my business partner, Terren, does most of the actual work. While he is working I frequent these forums and watch videos on youtube. I am a brony and If anyone crosses me they will have the shit loved and tolerated out of them.

One of the more interesting introductions I've had the pleasure to read.

  3. I'm going to get the game if there IS SECRET COMPARTMENTS and Cards/cracks, Twisters, hazardous machinery and what not like in the original game, and *squishes*...

Does it in any way remind of the old duke 3d?

The demo doesn't look that way..

    Can someone tell me?

If they turned the arcade duke nukem into something more Half-life style I might not enjoy it too much, duke nukem is about arcade gaming.

Well, it feels kind of like a mix between Duke Nukem and Halo so don't expect anything like Duke 3D. This is actually a very different game surprisingly. But to me it wasn't in a bad way.

  4. Games that try to be UBER realistic. Yes, I know some people like it, but, come on, I play games for fun, not for a real life military simulator.

I agree. I prefer games that are just fun and enjoyable over games that aim too much on realism, hence why I prefer Duke Nukem Forever over Call of Duty/Modern Warfare or whatever you call it nowadays.

  5. DX:IW

Everyone said it sucked, but when I found a used copy for $5... I liked it. Never played the original game, but IW got me into the series, and made me torrent the leaked Beta of DX:HR, so it can't be bad.

PS: Torrent the leaked Beta of DX:HR if you can, it's well worth it. (I suspect it was an intentional leak to build up hype, which I'm exceedingly willing to do since playing the leaked version)

IW wasn't at all any bad game and I liked how they simplified the weapons and such compared to the first game. But overall, I think the first game just is a better game in some aspects. But yeah, IW didn't deserve most of the hate it got.

  6. If the game is a sequel, I hate to see or read things that contradicts the continuity of the two games (yes, TLJ Dreamfall, I'm looking at you). I also strongly dislike playing games with bad controls, because bad or confusing controls is the one thing that can ruin even the best games for me.
