I don't think it's right to force anyone to believe in God. It should be a choice of your own and something you should have your own reason for, that's how it is for me at least. I'm very sorry to hear all that, but yeah, some people just are assholes, even your own family.

That depends on how you interpret the bible as it's always very vague and open to multiple interpretations. I basically just follow the 10 commandments to the best of my ability, though Jesus' golden rule is the one that I feel applies the best to me.

As an agnostic person (very close to athiest) in a christian family, I get a lot of pressure from my family to be christian. I told them that if I become christian, it would be by my own means. But, with the death of my great grandfather, they think they can swoop me up in their religon. They say, "if you believe in god, you will see him again". I personally think this is an insult considering we were very close and they know they have better luck if they get me like this. I tell them that, and they acknowledge that it is true and say they don't care because it is what they are supposed to do as christians. I tell them that this is why christians are hated, and now my step father is trying to get my family to disown me. Luckily I have my sister (closet athiest) and my mom who is christian that are on my side.

 

I am losing faith in karma for this reason alone. I am losing my family (at age 15), and I am a very good person.

I'm probably going to write a favorable review when I'm done playing it.

Yesterday I got probably more of an adrenaline kick from DNF than any game I've played lately. So personally, I'm enjoying it a lot, and I don't at all find it as bad as people say.

I think the unfavorable reviews stem from a mix of insanely high expectations and the fact the game is unpolished as hell. But for me, it's a diamond in the rough.

Duke Nukem Forever is pretty hard. I'd call it a real challenge.

I said no offense, I did not mean it as an insult. What I meant is that some of what you wrote simply wasn't true. I merely changed the title of the topic. Besides, if I said something I did not mean and erased it, I do not understand why you would hold it against me.

I edit my posts because I change my mind and realize what I wrote in the first place was maybe not a good idea to write. I don't see how it makes me a bad person to realize my mistakes and I don't understand why I should apologize for it.

Besides, I never deleted this topic and even if I did, there is no way I could undelete it. You are merely assuming things that are not true.

I am sorry if my actions have offended you and you feel they are unjust, that's not what I intended. I don't intend to make myself look better, just not offend anyone, but it seems I manage to anyway. But now that this situation has died down a bit thanks to Machinima actually getting more efficient, I think we should put this behind us.

I think it just makes it more accessible to adults that way who otherwise might have felt it was too much of a kids' game. Because kids don't get the jokes, but the adults do.

In Norway we have something called "snus" which is basically tobacco you put under your upper lip and suck on and it's immensely popular among teenagers.

Our teacher didn't like this because kids were spitting snus all over the school and making a mess, so in order to get us to NOT start using snus, he let us smell it. It smelled so awful that I doubt anyone in our class started using it.

That's how my brother watches YouTube.

Play some Duke Nukem 3D then. It's still better than Duke Nukem Forever, I must admit.
