I liked the driving sections. Gave a little welcome change in the gameplay for me. I personally never got "tired" of running over pigcops, if you pardon the pun.
So yeah, I agree with you, this game is everything I was expecting in DNF, and a bit more. It didn't disappoint.

It's fine if you want to be laid back about the issue, but don't defend machinima. They seem to be regularly waiting until the next friday to upload each episode. I'd understand if the episode was honestly being put through the normal queue, and it just took a while, but intentionally holding an episode is pretty annoying.
Well, yes, I see your point. I just think that people are making too much of a fuzz about it.

I saw this review on the game, and it's pretty damning:
I haven't played it, but typically the bigger the budget for a game, the less forgiving I am of things like poor writing. For anyone who's played it, the only thing I want to know is how does it compare to the 2001 trailer? I thought that looked fantastic at the time and it still looks like it would be a lot of fun. I love the lines like "Duke, they have the president" and "What are you going to do, save the world all by yourself?" Here's a link, though I'm sure people here have seen it:
It is still a great game, I have had a ton of fun playing it so far. There's one-liners and references, tons of'em, ENORMOUS variety in level design, and the game is pretty darn adult. I mean, this is not something I'd let anyone under the age of 18 play.
The writing is so-so but I don't really care about the writing in a game like this to be honest. I'm having too much fun with the enormous interactivity to really care.

I find it interesting that every game on your poll is a sequel.
Ross, this year is all sequels pretty much.
Duke Nukem Forever alone is one of the most anticipated sequels in history.
I think that's more the key to why it's a great year. There's tons of anticipation that the game companies will make worthy successors to some of our favourite franchises, so it's more the collection of big names that seem to hype everyone up than the games themselves.

Since I am already playing the shit out of Duke Nukem Forever, I think Deus Ex HR is the game I am looking forward to the most.

Fair enough, just cut down on the advertising a bit. Making your first post advertising a game is not a good sign, I'm afraid.
-
Deus Ex Machina? I thought it was called Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Do your homework, please.

Just Duke Nukem Forever makes this year special.

They fucked up my preorder for DNF. For some reason I had preordered the PS3 version. Though I notified him I wanted the PC version and there was no fight over it.

Disc here, im a collector and i like to have the disc instead of a downloaded game. I only download arcade titles from Xbox Live. None of my games have fingerprints and scratches i use powderless rubber gloves to handle them. Im a little OCD
Just a little.

Listening to soundtracks and drawing, Drawing, DRAWING!
I never wanted to be a forum mod anyway. I always wanted to be a lumberjack, leaping from tree to tree in the forests of British Columbia. With my darling wife by my side, we'd sing, Sing, SING!

Must've been mislabeled.

Other: Parodies, Remixes etc
Both parodies and remixes are not genres in their own sense since a parody and a remix can be any genre.

Ross said in a PM that his reason for making me a mod was that I came off as levelheaded and that he had been considering it for a long time.
.....
I now feel personally offended that I'm not a mod.

Try focusing on being a good member foremost.

I hardly even look at my keyboard at all. But I would if I used anything but QWERTY.

Moved to the gaming forum.

Looks like nothing original to me, to be honest. Nothing really grabs my interest about it, because it's way too similar to pretty much every other RPG or MMORPG already in existence. Just looking at it makes me wonder if someone took a screenshot from WoW and slapped a "Scarlet Legacy" logo on it, it's that similar. The glossy colorful graphics with the bloom filter, it has been done to death by now. But I'm sure fantasy fans might find something interesting in it. I'm just not a fantasy fan at all, and certainly this reminds me way too much of WoW to even spark any interest. Oh, and btw, you don't need to repeat that website link twice, you're obviously trying to advertise this game but I think you only need one link in your post. I do hope you plan on making more posts on the forum, just joining to advertise is not something I personally appreciate much.
While I'm an indie rocker through and through, lately I get a bit tired of keeping up with everything. Lesser known bands that tour Europe tend to forget about visiting Norway, so it's not as worthwhile for me as it once was. It's a shame. I'm actually warming up to DeLillos' discography quite a bit. They made some lovely music. I hope to see them live sometime this year.
"Mange lever kun for penger, som de slettes ikke trenger."

Banned because that's not a reason.

Scare the shit out of her. What would you do if you were stranded on an island?
Here's something odd, for a couple of minutes when I tried to get on this site, I kept getting an error, instead of bringing me to the site I was given "Website suggestions". Was the site temporarily down or was this an error with my ISP?
I am not aware of any downtime recently. It could've been your ISP.
