Psilodump : The Somnambulist

Anyway... I'd say the game is pretty linear but has tons of variation, both in level design and gameplay.
-
The question is how it disappeared in your post.

-
But is the linearity like Half Life? Where it's happening but it' not obvious?
Not quite, though the game does take some influence from Half-Life, Duke even mentioning "a crowbar would come in handy".

I've been getting into Guild Wars the last week or so. Fun mmorpg, no subscriptions. Sequel is looking even better.
I hear it's pretty good, but I generally prefer more linear games.

Head trauma, memory loss, heavy concussion.. I think we'll see some puking before the day is over. I don't think the suit is capable of preventing that from happening.
This is starting to sound like the morning after a hard party.

Nothing is censored in my version of it at least, but I think it depends on what country you live in. I think the Australian version was censored to get accepted by the rating board. In Norway we have no censorship of games, we just stick a "minimum age" thing on the game and leave it like it was made.

Been playing DNF for the most part. Loving it!

Seems we are getting rain and thunderstorms tomorrow, according to the forecast.

It should be UK, I agree.

1. Regenerating health does not make the game easier. In fact, Duke Nukem Forever is one of the harder games I've played. It really puts your skills to the test as far as I'm concerned and in fact, I think the lack of health packs and healing stations makes it fresh and prevents you from backtracking after health so you can just move on.
2. Only being able to carry 2 weapons at a time, for me, makes Duke more human and believable as a character. It just doesn't make sense for a person to carry 10 guns at all times, and it adds some strategy to what could've been just a dumb shooter. I mean, you don't see Arnold Schwarzenegger carrying a whole arsenal. It makes more sense for him to carry two guns, tripmines and pipe bombs.
3. Linearity makes it easier to focus on the game itself and not get sidetracked or lost. The game is about having fun and not have to grind for items or chatting with characters. I don't know about others, but I just don't see Duke Nukem fitting in a RPG. But the fact it's brought up as a bad thing may indicate that gamers' taste has changed towards wanting more sidequests.

No offense, but I think you managed that pretty much on your own in the first place.

Isn't it "New Zealand"?

We've been joking about Oslo having turned into Bergen. -.-
Having a lot of rain now?
I feel like Rana is turning into Oslo now. Man, we're up in 30c degrees here which is a bit too hot for my taste. Hopefully we'll get some rain on Sunday.

I'm impressed by the level designs and art styles. Especially the Alien Hive level blew my mind on so many levels. It's just so satisfying to see such awesome Lovecraftian work in a game.

I would rather drink actual water than Powerade. Much cheaper.
-
I don't mind the new UI in FF4.
-
Norway for me.
-
Yeah, I personally would prefer if it was some sort of spinoff rather than a direct sequel.
-
Is it just me or did the new episode get uploaded much quicker then usual?
A lot quicker.
-
I would prefer to just be the first lady.
-
I would've gotten a six pack of Powerade. Even caffeinated drinks, which I am addicted to, don't refresh me like Powerade does.
Too bad, it's chock full of aspartam, and I don't trust aspartam.

I have no use for dedicated servers though.
You won't be saying that when the match host tops the scoreboard.
I prefer private matches to be honest. I'm not much of a multiplayer gamer at all. I bought DNF almost entirely for the single player campaign. After all, the game is about Duke and his ego. Why should it be about us?
I think that's what they are trying to say with this game. It's Duke's story, and the multiplayer is just there to stop people from whining about there not being any multiplayer. I couldn't care less if it had multiplayer or not. I mean, it's nice that it's there, but usually i prefer playing unreal tournament for multiplayer.

I don't know about MIT but many universities require you to learn at least 2 other languages in order to earn a PhD.
Yeah, that's what I thought too. Also, he's been in Austria so it would make sense for him to know German.
Nevermind.
