  1. Okay, I'm on chapter 9 now.

    It's not bad.

Not fantastic. Old days Japan with sword fights between samurai's, I find the setting a bit stale. It's the historicalness of it.

Despite that, peace loving, chemist, hippie man with duel personality of sword slinging murderer is an interesting concept. Plus it's got 300+ chapters. I hate it when stories end too damn quickly. It's too bad it's completed, but I'll definitely give it a read. Hopefully the historical staleness doesn't crush it.

Well, who knows, maybe it'll grow on you.

I'm new to forums, but been watching freeman since the 8th episode when I joined the craze.

    Name: Gaerryn

    Nickname: Gazza

Interests: Gaming, wanting to create videos, cooking and riding my bike.

Welcome, Gazza. Interesting hobbies you have there.

  2. Doom 3 has to get the record for worst pistol sound ever though. It sounds like a pea shooter. And that's why I installed the Trent Reznor sound pack. He actually made it sound good.

Yeah, I actually took the Desert Eagle sounds from CS:S and made my own sound mod for it.

The HL2 pistol sounds I think were actually better designed for automatic fire than for the semi-auto pistol... You should try making a macro that fires all the rounds in a clip at 1200 RPM, sounds awesome, and kills almost anything not armored heavily.

That sounds really awesome in fact.

  3.

Felix's Mind I loved when I first saw it... and now it's just mediocre for me. Well, when I look at it now, sometimes it is very creative, but a lot of comments and jokes just throw it into the dumpster. I mean... quotes from videogame and i Mind series? Nothing against the taste of others, and that justs kills it for me.

    .

It turned into a cheesy fan fiction fast and Corky takes it WAY too seriously.

Oh, and don't forget his love of shit-tacular memes.

Oh wow. Did I hurt you personally or something?

Seems like there's a lot of hate, hate and more hate around here. What a wonderful mentality. Personally, I think constructive criticism is great, but the overly-aggressive slander seems like a bit much.

But who am I to try to convince you? In your words, I'm just a big tosser. You're completely free to continue insulting my work and me as a person, because it's not like I can stop you or anything. Besides, it's actually a little refreshing to get some negative feedback. I don't really hear much about what people think of my series outside of YouTube comments, and I don't know if you've noticed, but there isn't a whole lot of negative comments on my Episode 1 video. It's kind of good to hear some negativity, that way I can adjust my writing/acting/presentation accordingly.

Also, I do plan on taking my cheesy little fan-fiction MUCH more seriously (But I will definitely try to cut back on the references, though! )

I haven't watched your films but if you like what you are doing and enjoying it, I don't think you should let negative feedback stop you. As you said, you can use it to improve your work.

  4. When I first played the game, I remember being surprised I was launching a rocket or wondering WHY I was launching a rocket. Having played it again for FM, I STILL don't know why it's being launched. My memory's faulty since I started this a while back, but all I remember is one guard mentioning a rocket being necessary for the scientists via hearsay. As for his motives, that's my interpretation yours is clearly different. I'm not as intelligent as Freeman is implied to be, but if aliens were teleporting around me and soldiers were shooting at me, I wouldn't be terribly concerned with long-term ramifications of events taking place there. I'd be more concerned with just staying alive for the next hour. It depends on personal motives. Look at it this way:

Option 1: Risk your life unnecessarily, perhaps die within the next 24 hours, but have a chance of saving all of humanity.

Option 2: Minimize risk, leave everyone to their fate, survive probably for weeks, months, years, even in a worst-case scenario provided you can escape.

Both are valid options an intelligent person could make, but motives make a huge difference.

When I first played the game I just did what it seemed like I should be doing. Pressing that button to launch the rocket just seemed logical, but I was never sure why it needed to be launched.
