  1. Freeman of Freeman's mind is a vaguely sociopathic genius-apparently he's always been a bit loopy, considering his references to having bizarre outbursts at his job. His eccentricities are tolerated because he's so good at what he does.

He's kind of pathetic, if you think about it-friendless, self-absorbed, scatter-brained-but he's also surprisingly realistic. Anyone here ever met a very smart person in physics or engineering or computers? Some of them are intensely WEIRD. Hard to talk to. Anti-social, insular, cryptic, touchy people. Freeman is a product of narcissism and brilliance, a strutting, insecure, psychotic manchild. He is despicable. Absurd. Broken.

    And hilarious.

Yes, he IS very realistic. I always found that interesting.

  2. Deus Ex is a good game despite being a low budget kind of project (Bad voice acting to name an example.).

Yeah, some of the voice acting in Deus Ex is horrendous, especially the faux accents. But I think the fact it was a low budget game makes it even more impressive.

  3. For me, values are more important than religion itself. To have good morals and values is more important in most cases than if you are Christian, Muslim or a Jew. I would say while religion has had a general positive effect on shaping modern society, since it has formed the basis for most of our laws, it has also had a lot of negative effects which can't be overlooked. A lot of wars are started on the basis of religious disagreements, not to mention terrorism, and the dark side of religion will probably always be there.

  4. I think it depends heavily on which school you look at. At some schools, bullying can be a huge problem where nobody deals with it and in some schools, like the ones I went to, bullying was really hit down on and they took great effort into teaching tolerance to the kids, especially the golden rule: "Do to others what you want them to do to you."

I've been bullied quite a bit but I've had people around me who have always supported me. Friends can be great sometimes.

I would have to say yes for Norway, especially around here where I live. As far as I know, bullying is almost non-existant in most Norwegian schools. But I think the situation might be totally different in other countries.
