  1. Apogee/3d Realms - Wolfenstein

They had nothing to do with the development, they only published it. Engine and game were made by iD Software.

Yeah, and they didn't make Blake Stone either, I think some developer called JAM-something did that.

But one thing Apogee/3D Realms can take credit for is creating Duke Nukem.

  2. (cough cough Activi$ion cough cough).

Activision stopped making games around the early 90's. Now they're strictly a publisher. Valve is a little more than a publisher.

I know, but they still screw up games they publish.

    I wouldn't know.

  3. Funny that you should mention Blood. It's one of the better games to utilize the then-revolutionairy Build engine. It was actually made by the same guys who later made No One Lives Forever and even FEAR. Fun to see where they started.

It feels like as if someone crossbred Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and Evil Dead.

lol, did You just answer Yourself?... lol

Anyways, there is another game based on the build engine, it was some Japanese Ninja style game, but I never liked Japanese related games... Except Shogun: Total War. That's ok.

Yeah, Shadow Warrior. It was actually also made by 3D Realms/Apogee in fact. It's not so much based on Japanese culture as it's just based on the Western interpretation of Japanese culture, lol.

I didn't actually answer myself because I never asked any question, lol.

  4. Apogee/3d Realms - Wolfenstein, Blake Stone, Duke... Lots of other stuff we forget, pre 2000's.

Blake Stone - Interactive food units, non-hostile NPC's, stealth gameplay... Clearly one of the 90's most underrated games. And it has a nice 50's sci-fi style to boot.
