  1. Fallout 2:

People keep saying that Fallout 3 and 4 don't feel like 1 and 2. What on earth are these people talking about? Even though I'm having a lot of fun with Fallout 2 it's setting is generic as fuck. I mean you're in a post apocalyptic desert with 50s iconography. How is that interesting? I just don't understand these people that find it so intriguing when from my perspective it really isn't.

I would say the later games only don't feel like FO1 and FO2 because of the different gameplay. The setting is pretty much the same though. Heck, the first time I played FO3 I felt like I was playing Fallout 1 in first person and it was a pretty amazing feeling. While I generally do prefer the older games for very personal reasons, I do love the later games in the series.

Regarding the setting, you have to take into account that when Fallout 1 and 2 came out, RPG's were generally seen as DND influenced "orcs, dragons and wizards" fare. To have a RPG with a setting like Fallout's was very fresh and intriguing when it came out. Nowadays it's nothing special, probably because Fallout popularized this sort of setting. But back when I played the originals, they were like nothing else I had played at the time, which is probably why we fell in love with the games.

    OT: Deus Ex HR

  2. Great episode, Deus Ex remains one of my favourite games to this day for the exact reasons you've listed. And cause it totally blew my mind when it came out. I had never played anything like it before.

To this day I think it remains one of the most immersive games I know and I constantly go back to play it as I just love being lost in that world.

    Can't wait for Mankind Divided.

  3. Deu Sex HR

You can't not write it like that, can you? :P

    I think it's impossible.

    Deu Sex

I think you mean Jew Sex. Jew Sex traditional occurs after a rabbi has given his blessing and often through a hole in a bed sheet. :P

    Pretty sure I didn't.

  4. Sounds to me like your level of skill is pretty high compared to most gamers...

Yeah, I've been noticing that lately. It didn't really occur to me that was the case until a friend pointed it out to me. I kept trying to encourage them to try harder difficulties but they insisted that was beyond them. I really didn't understand it for a while. It's almost as if we weren't even playing the same games even though we were.

Yeah. Sadly that might make it difficult for you to find challenges since games nowadays are balanced for the majority of players.
