  1. Twiglets are awesome, but I don't know if they get sold outside of the UK.

They're like....marmite covered....sticks? Difficult to describe, but awesome nonetheless.

    Marmite=Vegemite

    I've never had either.

  2. I agree with Blightmare. Settling down with one sex doesn't make you gay or straight. You still have the same sexual urges towards both sexes. I don't think being bisexual is any kind of transitional period.

Yeah, there is a gaping hole in his fucking logic.

And that would be? What I'm saying is that settling down does NOT change the fact that they're still attracted to both sexes. that's the POINT of bisexuality and that's never going to change just because you found someone to be with. If anyone has flawed logic, it's definitely not me.

I'm starting to think you don't fully understand what bisexuality really is.

I think he meant the guy who said that, not you, meaning he agrees with us, because he started his sentence with "yeah" and quoted me.

  3. And why wouldn't you include books? The topic is "What kind of Sci-Fi Fan are you?" and books are certainly a type of sci-fi, just as movies, tv shows, and video games are.

Because books are typically a different form of Science Fiction that I wouldn't classify as "Sci-Fi"...

And as I already mentioned, I will be making a specific thread for literary Science Fiction later.

It would probably have been a good idea to make that more clear in your topic description. A lot of people can misinterpret it.

  4. As a mapper, i expect HL3 means new engine as the last 2 got new ones. The question is when

The engine isn't new, just newer iterations of the same Engine. They've also stated that Episode 3 will probably be their last game on Source.

Source Engine was great in its time, and even today its highly malleable and adaptable as well as well-written, but some of their features compared to nowandays, are showing their wrinkles.

I think the greatest strength of the Source engine is its backwards compability with older low-end systems.

  5. But what makes it awesome is that it becomes compatible with organic matter that way.

I don't think mass manipulation is a matter of compatibility, organisms are made of molecules just like crates, barrels, etc. The only reason you can not grab smaller enemies with the "orange" gravity gun is due to gameplay reasons; that ability would vastly overpower it. The supercharged gravity gun is a nifty idea that gives people a chance to do exactly what they dreamt about ever since first getting the weapon.

Good point, and I agree, definitely.

  6. today's been a good day. i was promoted to private regular, i got a 8.5 in a french exam, i managed to make my homework during break time, i had a good dinner... mom said she'll buy cake tomorrow... cant be any better.

    Congratulations! *gives koach2 a hug*

  7. Right now I'm watching the MAX PAYNE Movie and wondering why I keep seeing posts appear, when there are no registered users... perhaps people are going invisible or marked me as a foe

It was an okay movie. I'd rather play the game though.

Replaying Opposing Force. Missed so much stuff last time around.

My favourite of the HL1 expansions.

  8. either Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, or Code Geass

I remember watching the Cowboy Bebop movie while babysitting someone. One of my coolest experiences ever.

Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the few animes that really moved me while watching the first episode. I can't believe I didn't mention it!

Also, I bought several volumes of the Samurai Deeper Kyo manga and also checked out the anime. The anime was okay and stayed somewhat close to the manga, but I prefer the manga by far.

  9. Schneiders of Hanover makes these awesome pretzels coverd in dust that makes them taste exactly like buffalo wings. VERY messy, but I have a red 360 controller. No one will notice.

    BBQ flavoured pretzels? Sounds tasty.

  10. Still, you people are saying Babylon 5 is worth watching? I'll have to look in to it if so...

It is unique, I'll give it that. Where Star Trek was about exploring space, Babylon 5 is more political as it takes place on a space station rather than an actual space ship.

  11. From what I understand, many people who do Speedruns do so out of a discipline for how they find their fun, like skateboarders or parkour, in which practice and intense training (or research if applicable) are the differences between a second gained or a second lost.

Indeed. I would definitely call it a sport of sorts.

  12. *sigh* I guess I'll post what my PC is like. It cost me around $1000.00

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Intel Pentium processor E5500

    NVIDIA GeForce 315 512MB

    DVD-Super Multi drive

    500GB Hard Drive

    2GB DDR3 memory

    Multi-in-one Media Card reader

Not that good but it's my first PC.

Seems decent, though slightly outdated by now. Not bad for a first PC.
