  1. No flame? I am surprise.

I'd like to talk about how the hell BTG got 63 negative reps. That is a feat worth mentioning.

Maybe he is just massively unpopular. That's how it seems to be for me at least.

  2. Well, it keeps me sane and balanced. After I became more religious and started praying to God, I just feel it has made me more balanced psychologically and it has helped me deal with a lot of problems that I just previously didn't know how to deal with. I don't see how that is a bad thing.

I think the problem with religion comes into place when it's turning into superstition and people place way too much faith in God to the point where they give up their own free will to him...

  3. My faith is just not based on any scientific evidence or theories. It is based on emotions and abstract feelings and notions about the world. Can anyone actually find any scientific answer on why we are here or why our bodies look and function like they do or... even better, what makes cells divide, what is life? Why do the trees filter the air for us to breathe, our bodies seemingly designed to live in this environment as if everything was just made to exist like it does? Such abstract questions I feel can only be answered fully by my religion and my faith in it. And that is why I believe in God.

I do not in any way want to disprove science, that would be stupid. I just want there to be room for more than just HOW things work, or HOW we came into existence. None of us may not know why, but it helps for me to have a religion to turn to that gives me comfort and strength. Maybe not all of us needs that, but I do.

  4. I once found a site by a guy who is making real cartridges of Starfox 2, a Super Nintendo game that was never released but was actually more or less finished. A patch is out there that finalizes the game and even translates it. I actually sort of endorse that sort of piracy because there is obviously no other way to get it played on a real console, as I seriously doubt Nintendo has any plans of ever releasing it officially.

  5. I'm straight and have no problem with anyone. (I have several friends who are gay, and a couple who are Bi.) So long as they don't hit on me. (Even then, I'll probably just ask them politely to stop)

The way I see it: As long as a person is not an asshole or complete scum, they're alright with me.

A gay asshole's still an asshole.

Oh woah, that sounded just a bit different than I had intended...

    Inevitable innuendo there.

  6. Yeah, doritos and cheetos are awesome, but in general I tend to avoid them because of their inevitable tendency to make my fingers, and by extension my keyboard and mouse messy.

  7. Has to be GlaDOS.

The thing about GlaDOS that sets her apart is that she is creepy yet hilarious at the same time.

I never quite got how GLaDOS was a villain, I'd think who built her are the ones who should take the blame. Damned aliens.

I always saw her as a humorous take on HAL.

  8. I personally don't hate or even dislike BTG. I understand he is very outspoken and is often the reason a thread tends to go off topic, but in no way do I see it as necessary to flame him. I was joking when I called him a troll and I didn't mean it too seriously. It was a bit of an exaggaration on my part.

However, it is obvious that due to his outspoken nature is getting rather unpopular, as is evidenced by his alarmingly low reputation which now is nearing -100...

  9. I imagine a lot of people, especially gamers, likes to enjoy some snack foods once in a while, on a late night maybe or to hold us over between meals. What's your favourite snack foods and why?

I'm absolutely bonkers about dried fruit myself, especially dried mango.

  10. Name: Alex

    Location: London, UK, British Empire

    Occupation: Student

My name is Alexander, although I'm known as Alex most of the time, and when I'm not cycling to lectures/labs and catching up on sleep, I've been coding the odd feature needed and battling the bugs that infest the Source engine that Ross Scott needs squishing.

Other than that, I enjoy playing around with Source's Hammer, my trumpet, acting, consuming inhuman amounts of chocolate, composing/arranging orchestral music and cycling in cities.

Finally one with a similar name!

I'm the not-self-appointed queen of the board. Mostly because I love to post. A lot. That's pretty much all there is to it. ;P

I think what it boils down to is just respecting each other.

  12. I really liked this Diet Cherry-Vanilla Pepsi cola that was out for a while... but it seems to have vanished off the shelves, and I drank my last remaining can a few days ago.

I'm told that Pepsi "Throwback" uses no artificial sweetener, and is a lot more tasty than regular Pepsi, but I've never had any.

Diabeetus took most of the fun out of drinking colas.

At least you can drink diet coke. It might induce cancer but what doesn't these days.
